I think that series was way worse...pens were total poop..I dont remember a good shift...at least game one we played a decent game. - taleisyreXIII
Pens out played the bruins for long portions of games in that series but couldn't score... The snake bite is what really made them lose composure IMO. |

I might be misremembering but this does feel a lot like the Boston series. Pens just can’t play ugly hockey and get frustrated. - Thorny87
The thing is... Boston was extremely talented. This Islander team isn't nearly that good. They're just out hustling the Pens most of the night.....which is inexcusable. |

I agreed. Others said it wasn’t. I can’t remember seeing Sid’s line this ineffective since that series |

The record is 86, he is the first since 2011 (or was it 2013) to play in 84. |

Dont remember the series at all except sid getting fed charas fist. I must be mistaken but I do not remember feeling the pens were better in that series. |

Glad he showed up. |

Aston Reese and rust just passengers on those top 2 lines. Can't do anything when you can't even get clean zone entries and some puck possession. |

Not only do I remember the Pens storming the Bruins some games I also remember playing hockey with buddies who were die hard bruins fans and a few times they'd be saying they couldn't believe the Pens didn't win or couldn't score. Both teams played good, the Pens coudnt score enough. Vokun played pretty good except getting hauled in one game and Fleury played the 3rd. Vokun didn't get any goal support. |

Last year when Sid Jake and Horny we’re cruising Sully switches it up. That 1st line is struggling and he’s just sticking to it. |

I remember that series vividly. The Pens weren't very good. Sure Rask was great, but the Pens rarely got a shot off shorter than 15 feet and Rask got to see nearly every shot. Pens scored 2 goals in that series and got swept. Dan Bylsma didn't make a strategic adjustment until game 3. I thought it was an embarrassing series for the Pens. |
