And now that everyone sees it, they won't be able to move him.
Still saying someone should OS Marner, at least the max prior to 4 #1s, Leafs are going to cap hell as well, and without a good D. - vabeachbear
Marner is a special player. The other guy who doesn't like contact is Matthews. This is the second series against Boston where he is nowhere to be found. If the Leafs were to bow out early and Matthews continues to play so small he and Nylander will feel the wrath of Leaf fans. |

Powerenforcer cleared that up and quite nicely I might add. Because he, Powerenforcer, was so on to Bettman and posting Bettman's misdeeds against Chicago at every opportunity, Bettman had no choice but to give the Hawks the third overall pick so it made it look ike Bettman wasn't really a Blackhawk hater. - paulr

Hopefully last night's nonesense from Kadri shows why the Hawks don't need him. Let another team deal with his immature tantrums and selfishness. Too bad he has some talent but is directed by his 50 cent head, |

I'd like it if Stan was able to find another Caggiula type or two. Still can't believe the Oilers gifted him to the Hawks for Brandon Manning. |

Agreed. If the refs maintained control that Kadri hit would never happened. After that knee to knee and trying to take Marleau's head off with the glass, I don't blame him. - busmaster
wow so its ok to go after someones head and neck with a two handed crosscheck because they didn't get a call...
yeah I don't blame Kucherov for tripping and boarding while the guy is down; after all he sucks in his last 6 playoff games...ya know frustration... |

Bees love the stuff along with mint which I DO have. The current business model is clearcut, replant 95% Doug Fir, wait 40 years then clearcut. Raise and repeat. So what if you're not going to get a straight piece of lumber out at of it. |

Don't worry, they still owe Stan something from the expansion draft.
Figuring this was all part of the master plan - vabeachbear
Correct, don't think the Hawks ever collected on those "future considerations" from, what was it, the Kruger trade around the time of the expansion draft.

Wow that Leaf Bruins game was vicious. Loved it . Hope Bowman took note If the Hawks are making the playoffs next year they better add some toughness and meanness to the lineup . Think game may be swingin back a little to atougher brand of Hockey. |

so, you don't mean defenseman Chris Tanev with a year left at 4.5 mil( but Brandon)
...that's almost equal what Anisimov makes and me thinks the bring
their shiny #3 Schiefele / Getzlaf / OReilly clone in to play right away if they show the gumption, b/c that is the only way you fill AA spot, still important to rebuild.
I don't see them going low ball in the return for Trouba (I would love to see the described as the Hawks best defenseman Murphy going there for him) and careful what you ask for in a when you spend big bucks for Tyler Myers -never been a fan defensively at his current wages...loved him for the Hawks in his draft year when I said trade up to get him and he was still on the board---BEACH!/Tallon)
If the plan is to try and steal some jet, concentrate on Jack Rosovic who iS the real deal, but you will overpay with his low CAP hit.
Gufstasson value will never be higher.
Think Winnipeg needs some more back line push?
Murphy
If Tallon isn't actually paying for Seabs or Keith you have get REAL two way guys to attempt to replace them, and not overpaying for a broken down Aton Strålman either
(oh, and back to the Bryam Bowen Boqvist Beaudin Mitchell backline...)
Is that the size Bluejackets have or are they still rubbing people wrong? - wiz1901
Sounds like Winnipeg has a few pieces that Hawks may want. I wonder if they blow up the team after a 1st round exit.
Brandon Tanev, an UFA could add some skill to the bottom 6. Don't know much about this Jack Roslovic.
For next year WPG has 12 players signed for 56M so they have to sign 11 players for 27M assuming the cap goes to 83M. Their top RFA's are Trouba, Laine and Kyle Connor. If they sign for 7M, 7M (I think Laine cost himself a couple of million with his 2nd half slump this year) and 4M, that leaves 9M for eight players. Guess it could be done.
WPG may make some moves to free up cap space and change the team chemistry. Maybe the Hawks can pick up a useful piece for minimal return.

I'm still over here waving the Ben Chiarot flag. He's playing the 3rd most minutes on D behind Byfuglien and Trouba, getting lots of PK time, blocking shots and leading the team in hits with 6 hits in both games. He's UFA after the season currently making $1.4M and since he doesn't score much he shouldn't cost more than $3M to $4M.

Andrew Copp's an RFA. Maybe Stan can work a one-sided deal like the the Jets (then Thrashers) did for Buff and Ladd.
I think he'd look pretty good at 3C and should come in well under AA money. |

And i wonder what happens if the Lighting are a first round exit, Cooper will be gone, and very little cap wiggle room |
