Easy... they already suspended him back when the issue actually happened, and the NHL is a corporation not a court. The fact they make up the policy on an individual basis unlike other leagues is going to be an issue. Voynov did his time for the crime and is allowed to work and move on. You can hate the guy, the guy is a pos for doing such, but at the end of the day he was guilty, did his time for the crime, and so the league to act as a secondary means of judge, jury, executioner is quite a bit beyond their scope. Expecting an arbitrator to hammer Bettman yet again, much like what happened with Watson.

And the PA job is to represent their players, so not at all surprised they would do this and appeal that.

This is the more likely explanation. I would love to hear what Prince has to say about it, though.

Willy last season was good at 5v5, and he will be again. but you need Willy + Auston

I thought the San Jose game was the worst.

Pavelski got a penalty for a guy skating into/over him when he got knocked down. He did nothing.
