I am pretty much done with Vesey...if he stays whatever, if he goes its fine. He is not part of this teams core - TPC
Same argument for Fast though... |

I don't think they have to make that move during the summer though
they'll be plenty of new faces even if they dont make a major trade for a center this summer
get the season going, see how Chytil does in the role and make a move during the season to fill that hole or add more depth if they feel the need
key is Panarin though, gotta make that happen
how ever you wanna do the lines, this is top 6
Panarin
Zibinajed
Kreider
Kakko
Buchnevich
Chytil
I wanna see how they all look together for a couple of months before deciding they need a veteran in top 6 - jimbro83
That would be the ideal situation. |

he really blew it after the deadline
he was having very decent season and should have blown the doors off with Hayes and Zucc gone and the opportunity it gave him
19 games from March 1st on, 1 goal and zero assists
absolutely putrid

Vesey might have more offensive upside for sure. But I don't think we have seen the best Fast has to offer. Fast can also move up and down as needed. I would consider him a better fit to hold onto a lead late too. - JRR1285
I'm actually with you. I don't mean this as an insult, but Fast is sort of Hagelin-lite. You can always use players like Fast in your lineup. |

As I watched Calgary game last night, I kept saying to my self that Kreider should be playing just like Thachuck. That kid gets is awesome!!

I still think Kreider is somewhat neutered by crashing into Price. He hasn't had the same snarl since. |

I would almost want to slot in Strome or even Names if we decide to keep him as 2C. I imagine KZB is here to stay. Do we really want to put Chytil with 2 rookies? We don't need an elite 2C at tihs time, but I think we need somewhat of a calming influence. |

Year I'd keep Fast just because he's a natural RW that can be ideal on the 4th and on the PK. |

I guess that is more the angle I am trying to come from. Fast is a known commodity and is a right handed shot as well. He is also defensively responsible. Can't really say the same about Vesey. Plus someone might overpay for Vesey due to his age. He will likely be seeking significantly more than he makes now in his next contract. He's already overpaid. |

I really like Strome and I want Hayes back. Nam is the odd guy out and makes too much money to stay. Otherwise I like Nam a lot too. |

I like Strome's game so far. I feel Stinky was better on Tampa and has shown a few flashes, but overall unimpressive. Wouldn't be upset to see him go. |

If you want Hayes back, Nam has to go. That extra 4 million is critical. |

Bringing Hayes back would be awesome. Not sure if Gorts pursues him since he's gone. |

If he is willing to entertain coming back Gorton would be an idiot to not at least have a conversation about it. |

Edit:
The last time I went duck hunting I almost died trying to prank someone. I went to drop down into a channel to sneak behind everyone who was packing up but my feet never touched the bottom. My waders almost filled with water. That woulda been nice. |

Nope. Like Vesey, shows some upside once in a while, but not consistent enough for me to justify the roster spot and cap space. |
