WTF is going on in here right now.

I have no clue. Something about Tom sitting in someone’s lap and the FBI getting involved. |

Hopefully we get the DAL 2nd, if so I would go with Kakko/a winger(depending on the Winn/Dal pick) and then Moritz Seider. Seider is a big physical RHD that projects as a top 4 dman. |

personally I'd love to trade back into the top 10
I really don't have a whole lot of passion for these European defensemen who we wont hear a peep from for 3-4 years, it's difficult to keep tabs on them |

I think we should target Edmonton’s pick. If there was any team that needs an NFL style trade down, it’s them. I looked at their cap friendly, and I don’t think I’ve seen a team so screwed as them. |

that Lucic contract is a prison sentence, and they have to protect him in expansion draft
I don't know what the thinking was there, lets get McDavid a slow lumbering winger to play with |

And McD drug him to 50 points his first year. They have probably 4 albatross contracts on their team, it’s insane. They really should trade Drastil, but I don’t know if they will. Otherwise, they are basically icing an ahl team after their top 3 players |

now's the time they should trade RNH, coming off career year, two years left on deal, he should have decent trade value |

Kreider and the 2 for Drycycle and the 10. You do it? Is that enough?
Helps their cap situation BIG TIME, they get a replacement for L-dog. |

first, Kreider has an 11 team NTC and I think there's a billion % chance Edmonton is on it
second, I don't wanna trade the 2nd, I think it's an opportunity we'll probably never have aagain, the chance to grab a potentially elite player and for the first 3 years of his deal pay him at entry level deal. We don't have to worry about protecting him in expansion draft
third, I don't think Edmonton wants to trade him anyway |

I know they won't do it. In an alternate reality where none of the roadblocks exist, I'd think about it. He is probably a top 10-15 player in the league right now and just entering his prime. Though you are right, if Kakko truly is that elite piece, paying him pennies is an enormous value.
I do wonder if we could get RNH in the right deal. He's better than Hayes and will come with a cheaper contract. He's only signed for 2 years too, so if he does suck, comes off the books when all the other albatross contracts come off. |

I'm not interested in RNH
what I'm interested in is Panarin, Kakko, Kravtsov and Shesty walking through the locker room doors the first day of training camp
I really feel like we don't need to trade a damn thing right now to make this team a serious playoff contender already next year |

Kreiders ask in not out of the norm. Wants to be paid like a 50-60 point player. 5-6 at $6.5 per.
Agent will prob start at $7.5 and come down from there |

If we are going to make a playoffs next year, we are going to need a better second line center than Chytil. Kid has a bunch of potential, but he isn't quite there yet. Although Richards wasn't on the team that lost to Tampa, our last final team had Brass and Zucc on the third line. We are light years away from having that kind of depth until more time of development.
I still think next year we improve and miss out on the playoffs. Every team is different, but it even took the Pens a couple of years with Sid and Malkin to make the jump to a playoff team. |

I think he's going to want 7-8 years and I'm not sure I want a part of that. Players of Kreider's type don't tend to age well, although I guess he isn't a traditional power forward. If he lowers his demand to say 5-6 years I'm in. |

From what all the coaches have said over the years, the way he keeps in shape...he is a freak. He could last longer than most power forwards |

I don't think they have to make that move during the summer though
they'll be plenty of new faces even if they dont make a major trade for a center this summer
get the season going, see how Chytil does in the role and make a move during the season to fill that hole or add more depth if they feel the need
key is Panarin though, gotta make that happen
how ever you wanna do the lines, this is top 6
Panarin
Zibinajed
Kreider
Kakko
Buchnevich
Chytil
I wanna see how they all look together for a couple of months before deciding they need a veteran in top 6 |

I'm ok with bringing Hayes back. Having the centers be Zib, Hayes, Chytil and Howden. Just need to move Vesey and Vlad. |
