There is no way JJ is out next game. They’re getting dominated physically - Thorny87
I thought that's why he was on the team...no reason to abandon playing him now. |

HE WAS ALL ALONE IN FRONT THE NET - Rinosaur
Hahah I’m not the one in disagreement with you buddy.
It is possible to in a macro sense Murray is not that good while simultaneously realizing that right now this abortion going on in front of him isn’t his fault. |

So? He had half a second to make a play and all Murray has to do there is not leave the 5 hole open. If he gets deked or beaten top shelf there isnt much Murray can do about that, what Murray can do is close up the damn 5 hole. That was routine save. |

I'm just not tho. Murray is consistently outplayed by his counterpart. Has been for over a year. I'm sorry he is not a great goalie. |

Haha. Not saying I agree with it but Maatta hasn’t looked good at all and the D are getting smoked. |

It's the Pens D overall that haven't looked ready.
Lots of hockey left yet. |

Islanders are out skating them by a long shot. I think the Pens were expecting a defensive game out of the islanders, they need to reset. |

He’s not. But this team is doing him zero favors right now. Hopefully they recoup at intermission. |

Both their goals was Dumo's fault. Not even near the goalscorer.
First goal he was watching the play and forgot to play D. Second goal he tried to hit someone near the blue line and left his man alone.
But yes. Murray is being outplayed, glove hand, inconsistent, bla bla bla.

We had some bad moments, but if we are gonna get 18 shots on net a period with some high quality chances we are gonna win an awful lot of games.
I am not worried at all, we have them right where we want them in a road game. |

Hahaha I know right, you wouldn't know if we didn't have piles of experience of playoff ups and downs to draw upon. It's the first period of the series and in their crazy loud barn. Could of been worse than 2-1..and Pens have had enough chances that it could be them winning. |

Power play goals against on not purely on the 4 in front...there is that thought that your best penalty killer has to be your goalie....its overused but it's TRUE.
Murray was soft as (frank) on the 1 on 4 goal that didnt count..and looked awful on the first that did count. |

Yeah... I'm not close to being worried yet. That was a microcosm of the whole season. Didn't come out ready and giving up too much space.
Everybody should have known the Isle will come out flying. |

The only reason why I’m worried right now is because if we lose Johnson has cemented a roster spot when we were so close to not seeing him again.
Other than that, I’m not worried for the series. Our forwards look great and are generating plenty of dangerous chances. The Isles are running off a ton of adrenaline right now and their crowd is absolutely raucous which is feeding their energy. Crowd probably won’t keep that up, first game adrenaline will wear off, and our defense and Murray will eventually settle in. No reason to be worried unless we see a trend start next game and go to Pitt down 0-2. |
