I hope they at least interview Grönborg, after that article, i’m Intrigued. He seems to know how to deal with young players and that is a step in the right direction. Maybe they could hire him as an assistant coach if they feel he not ready to take over the head coaching duties.

Big mistake giving it to Taylor and Gronborg can stay where he is.
- SABRES 89

Agreed. We need a proven NHL coach. McLellan or AV for me.

It sounds to me that Housley never had control of the room nor did he communicate well with the players and as the season went along Botterill understood that.

Your 3 choices seem logical but I'll admit I know nothing about Gronborg and his coaching style. Based on Botts comments it would seem McLellan could be his first choice.

- mhp

I'm not sure if it wasn't communicating well, I think he more or less means that the next coach needs to make his message clear, needs to be able to teach these guys the structure that clearly Housley wasn't able to do.

This ship will sink even faster once Kim get's involved, just watch. Grab some popcorn folks because it's coming.
- SABRES 89

I was told in here that unless you have video of Kim's involvement in decision making for the club, it is wrong to say she is meddling.
So we all have to stand down on that one apparently.

Where IS the proof of these "meddling owners", though?

They made it sound they were pretty hands off when it came to hockey decisions. Botts backed that up. Choose to believe what you will. Show me some evidence of the contrary. Otherwise, it's pure conjecture.

^^

I know a guy who knows a guy. And I asked about it a few months ago.. he believes Jason's firmly in charge of hockey ops. The structure of everyone being involved has been there since his hire, same as on the football side. But the decisions ultimately come down from JB. So believe it, don't, don't care.

Yep. This is where I'm at. Too much vague hearsay around here. I'll need solid evidence, not "just you wait".

And how did that work out
- SABRES 89

Toe Blake isn't available.
Maybe they could entice Scotty back?

Every great Coach started at some point as a rookie coach.
AV's knock is he relies on Vets at the expense of younger players
McLellan couldn't take a very good Sharks team to the ultimate win.
Everyone has a black mark or two.

Someone said, "Well, Pegula sits in on draft meetings and trade deadline day!!!"

No sh!t, Sherlock. I would, too. It's interesting, fun, exciting, and I OWN THE (frank)ING TEAM!

That doesn't mean they're telling the scouts who to draft or the gm who to trade.

I mean, isn't this conjecture on you part as well.
Same with all the other claims, believe them if you chose is a good way to go.
It is a rumors blog after all.

If that's way he got shipped out, this would be extremely stupid... While stupid on his part Im sure it happens all the time.

I don't know, J wasn't there, nor did I "report" it here...it was mentioned multiple times.
Let's face it, he apparently wasn't a choir boy in his time here. IF that indeed happened, I would guess it was one of many issues considered.
