(frank). If you're going to get a Belgian beer go for Houblon Chouffe, or Westvleteren XII or St. Barnardus.
Like if you get one American beer, why the (frank) would you choose Bud when you can get a Pliny the Elder from Russian River Brewing...? |

It's funny how crap beers in home countries get elevated to premier beers in foreign countries.
Canadian is our pissy lager (although better than Blue).
Nobody in Mexico drinks Corona.
There's plenty of beers in Europe that are marketed to the homeless, yet in North America they are premier beers.
You know what the best beer in the world is?

Oh yeah.
I lived in California for a year, followed by Bellingham (near Seattle) for a year. I've seen all the good beer that the US has to offer, and I wish I could get it here |

Red wine is my favorite, but when I buy a few beers - this Norwegian beer is excellent!

Coconut Porter from Maui Brewing Company.
Had it once in L.A. thought it would be a quirky beer to try.
(frank)ing legit love it though, could drink it all night long. It's just a good beer, novelty aside. |

There are some great beers made by small companies here, but almost all of the major brands with household names are undrinkable and best suited for cleaning one's toliet.
If my only choice was Budweiser/Coors/Miller/Busch or sobriety, I would choose sobriety.....or 10 bong hits. Wait, definitely the bong hits.

Never had a coconut porter in the US, but my local in AB had one that was always good as a seasonal release.

Anyway, LCBO has a lot that you can order for store delivery right now, but you need to do a $50 minimum. If you don't wanna order to your folks place or find a pickup in Kingston more convenient, let me know and we can work something out assuming that you want like 18 beer... - lumlums
I make sure to get weird beers from the LCBO every time I go down.
Favourite regulars these days are the sidelaunch wheat, the hop city 8th sin, sawdust city coriolis effect for when I don't want to get crushed
But realistically, if I'm gonna order booze online, I'll just go straight and get a case of screaming frenzy cab franc from the hatch in kelowna. |

But Surströmming is a different animal altogether. I've smelled it once - pure horror! - 21peter
If it smells bad I wouldn’t like it either. I’ve taken a liking to a few Swedish authors. I have to google the odd thing to understand what they’re talking about in regards to food.
Great writers though. |

You can order wine online from okanagan producers.
The hatch has some pretty good stuff and don't charge an arm and a leg for shipping, and they basically don't care that it's against the law.
The screaming frenzy cab franc is off the hook for 28 dollars a bottle though.
If they still have smokeshow in stock, it's a nice novelty with the grapes having been harvested from the time when the whole okanagan was on fire. |

Oh good to know! We were in the Columbia valley in Washington a couple of years ago and bought some win from grapes that were grown during their wildfires... was somehow more amazing than the regular stuff |
