My knock on Caufield is not a height thing. It’s an overall skill set thing. I’d be happy to see him prove me wrong, but the risk far outweighs the reward where we’re picking.

IMO Newhook has a top 10 skill set. Just wait ‘til he’s @ BC playing with Boldy. If he’s a mid-1st pick, he’ll be moving up in future redraft articles. Choosing someone the likes of Soderstrom over taking a chance on Newhook would really piss me the (frank) off.

I’ve been curious about Newhook all year & tracking him he has slipped for no reason other than a BCHLer imo. Sure it’s a long season & rankings change. Newhook is exactly the type of player we could trade down for if the situation arises.

Assuming there's a long term timeline in place we better load up on Dmen this year. By the time our current core are reaching prime we need to have more Dmen ready to go, and they can take a long time.

We look pretty solid on LHD but those elusive RHD gems are hard to find. We need to get more than lucky or trade/UFA for one.

Basically best forwards that were or could have been drafted out of BCHL. Benn is kind of a stand out and had nowhere near the season that the others did. Bozak, Zajac, Turris have been basically 40-50 ppg over career avg.

Couple seasons ago, I said the same thing about Canadian players and got my ass chewed out in here. Funny how the reverse doesn't happen.
