Conspiracy. Well can’t blame Sparks anymore back to Gardiner most likely. |

Well in fairness, Leafs are 31st past 2 years in PP opportunities. But I am sure like last year we'll hear the absurb "Refs help Leafs" narrative with each call against Boston. - RogerRoeper
The Leafs were penalized the least in the NHL this year too, though... 294 mins LESS than the Bruins |

I just hope the Bruins fans don't boo Tavares.... There will be a candlelight vigil before Game 3 |

They'll give him the key to the city and make him mayor of Toronto if he gets booed again. |

Pretty simple answer for that one:
They are the softest team in the league.
Bruins had 20 more majors.
You eliminate those, and the Bruins averaged a little under 1 more minor per game (277 to 208).
Not a huge discrepancy, really. Especially when considering that (once again) the Leafs are the softest team in the league, so both teams don't ramp up their naughtiness when playing each other.

If he gets addicted to crack, can we put him on LTIR for cap relief? |

One thing to note is that Tampa pretty much had the division locked up for the majority of the games played after the TDL and Columubus was playing like a desperate team trying to make the playoffs. Hard to genuinely compare the stats of these two teams in completely different circumstances. |

Meh... more so to just try and shut up buddy who wants to put an onus on the refs before the series starts lol.

Nope, you’re better off making sure Johnny Cracker gets a lethal dose. Let’s not forget the Sabres had to deal with drunk Lehner for a couple of seasons. |

Boston in 7 - unless the refs actually call the games properly, if so then I'll take the Leafs in 7. - Kinger34
crying about the refs in advance
you had the least amount of PPs, but you were also shorthanded less than anyone but one team......so if you're saying the refs let other teams get away with poop against you, they let you get away with just as much poop.
stop crying, you sound like a female dog |

then don't look at minutes, look at times shorthanded. CBJ was shorthanded the least, 200 times, right behind them were the leafs at 204.......nobody else was within 10 or 15. |

Call it excuses or whatever, I don't give a poop.
The reffing, especially in Boston last year was absolutely atrocious. Chara cross checks constantly no calls, Marner elbowed to the head by Wingels no call but Kadri gets called then 3 games for retaliation.
The reffing was better in Toronto but total poop in Boston.
If the reffing is equal this year it's Leafs in 7. |

Crying? Not really. Stating my opinion. Reffing last year was terribible especially in Boston.
Enjoy your non playoffs off-season and your lottery pi..........wait, never mind. |

every leafs thread this year has been 10 pages on whining about officiating.........even when you win.
as for the draft lottery.....oh well. besides, a fan of a team who's given up more top end talent in the draft (via terrible trades for their picks) probably shouldn't be throwing stones at anyone.
keep whining about the refs....you're much better at that. |

I'm talking about last year's playoffs man, didn't say jack about this year and really didn't have any complaints when it came to the reffing this year.
Sure thing chip, ignore the draft lottery. I am sure Hughes will look great in an Avalanche jersey. At least you guys still have Duchene though............whoops.
Karlsson, Stone, Duchene, Dzingle, Uber trash talking, the Hoffman debacle, and your GM saying "well at least we're a team" on national television all within a year. You have a batpoop crazy owner, a terrible GM, and the Canadian Tire Centre is like a Florida vacation home for the Leafs.
Oh, and aren't you still paying some of Phaneuf's contract?
It's probably best that you leave. |

Hughes or kakko
If Hughes, will he be 1c and hischier be 2nd line? Or keep hischier with hall (granted hall re-signs)
Hall-hischier-bratt
Zacha-hughes-palms
?-zajac-coleman
I think it would push zacha to wing but we still have holes to fill so hopefully drafting, prospects, trades and FA help
If kakko
Hall hischier kakko
Palms zacha bratt
X zajac Coleman
I do think with getting #1 it means shero will be more aggressive and may use our #2 pick for trade and may see if we can somehow get a top FA in
Still need some Defense |
