I believe they were talking about Cozens at 3oa.
- TheHank

this is correct.
I like Cozens almost as much as I like Kakko.
there are others I would be happy with as well.

If Blues pick 19th, then trade up to get the guy they want, rather than leftovers from that 2nd tier. I would want one of
-Newhook
-Lavoie

- IonSabres

Would love this. Just so rare that these trades are made.

I think Caufield, Suzuki and Kaliyev deserve some attention too.

It's nice, this seems to be a fairly deep draft. 20-23 is the drop off point, so even if we stick with 19, we should get a few who fall.

Was just going to say this.

This draft works for us. Lots of centers. Couple LWers to look into and one offensive defenseman. 1-8th matters, but we should get a pretty solid player no matter where we fall.

Hughes
Kakko
Cozens
Turcotte
Byram
Podz
Dach
Zegras
Krebs

I'd take any of those 9 players. Newhook and Suzuki have been rising, but think they're still in that next tier.

If the Blues lose in the 1st round, we would also draft 19th I believe. Right in line for Kaliyev to fall to us.

- RhinoFan

I don't think it is quite that easy.
St Louis's finish placed them with the 20th pick. Winnipeg, their playoff opponent finished qualifying them for 22nd pending playoff round 1 outcomes...Winnipeg winning doesn't drop St Louis, more needs to be involved.

So, if St Louis lost, and all the other teams currently holding the 16th - 19th spot lost also (Columbus, Dallas, Vegas, Colorodo) then St Louis retains the 20th position and that pick then goes to Anaheim.

In essence, we need the Blues to lose, AND for one of Vegas, Dallas, Columbus, Colorado to also win.
Start cheering for Vegas to "upset" San Jose....I think that is the best option.

I think VGK smacks around SJS anyway, so this is good to hear.

Didn't know all this. Appreciate the insight. I believe that CAR beat out STL though, so STL is 19th, not 20th. I could be wrong but saw a few people talking about it on the twatter.

That’s 12 picks. Got hope for a StL loss in rd one and a lower seeded team to win.

You can't have fruit on keto? I almost did it. However, I'm doing v limited alcohol, carbs, no sugar.. and I'm not really doing any bust meals. Seems to be working, but it's a little slower than keto/whole30/paleo.
- TheSabresTaco

Ive been full keto for a little over 2 weeks and Ive lost about 20 pounds.

After a very terrible first few days its been really nice.

I'd rather not take the chance on counting on a young player to step up as a second line center.

Even if he can, it wouldn't hurt to ease him in.

- gcomella34

I agree. So what's your 2nd line center solution? Any free agent is going to want many years. Winning Hughes would be a positive problem.

I have no solution, readily admit that.

I just want JB to find one if he can. Counting on Middlestadt was just too much. I realize that he was hoping for Berglund to step into that role but it didn't happen.

Think guys like Marcus Johansson, Brock Nelson and Colin Wilson will all get long term deals? I would have thought one or two of them would be willing to sign a 3 year deal. Whether they'd do that with us is another question.

Here's how we get the Blues pick. If VGK, DAL, or COL make the conference finals and STL doesn't we will get their pick
