I'm sure the Habs will be interested.
I doubt we sign him, it's been a while since we attracted any notable UFA.
Last one was probably Cammalleri. - Scabeh
As an outsider looking in, there’s buzz in MTL again. Forget the standing for a second, the Habs are an exciting team built for today’s game. Panarin wants to go to a city with a lot to do, and I think he likes the spotlight. MTL is the perfect fit of him. They aren’t a growing team, their time is now. |

I think they are 1 or 2 years away from looking good.
But yeah, love how they've turned things around. |

I recently said, while vomiting a little, that I thought Tavares was probably the best UFA signings of the last 10 years. Considering his talent level and age.
I think Panarin could be a signing of similar importance and success. - Scabeh
It's so rare that these guys reach UFA. Who at that level has done it in the last 10? Nash, Stamkos, Tavares? Help me out here... |

Price and Weber would be two years older.
I think their time is next year. Put it all on the line. |

Yeah but their most interesting prospects are not on the team yet.
Poehling and Kotkaniemi will be playing. But Suzuki and Brooks probably won't.
Oh and Romanov is still in the KHL for another year....
I do get that our 2 star players are getting older but I don't see the Habs as a "now" team. |

Suzuki and Brooks will help keep the cap hit down for sure, Peohling I would pump the brakes on.. until guys crack the lineup they aren’t for sure difference makers. Tbh o don’t think they’ll be huge additions except for maybe Suzuki. They need to bring in a huge FA, theyre actually lucky they’ll be able to take a stab at Artemi.

Seems like a lot of people think Q going to Florida is an instant fix - senstroll
Well its now one question mark turned into a check mark in my opinion. Going from first year coaches to Q gives me confidence as a player if I were one. |

It's going to be a tough race for the Rocket next year. Toss up between OV, Draisaitl and Poehling. |

I thought he did...maybe not. I just remember the Nash sweeps and how he was going to be a leaf. |

I said he was gonna play in Montreal, not that he was gonna turn into an instant superstar.

They have talent. Need some help. The division can be really tough next year. Well aside from Detroit.
Detroit female doges about the west being difficult and yet they end up with a division of Tampa, Boston, Leafs and then young and looking good teams of Buffalo, Montreal and Florida. |

Stamkos didn't even get there, just the interview period. He signed two days before open free agency. |

He was 100% traded out of CBJ.
It was Anisimov, Tim Erixon and a 1st I think...some poop like that.
Edit: looked it up - I forgot Dubinsky was a piece in the trade too. How the (frank) did I remember Tim Erixon but not Brandon Dubinksy |

Alright, so does the Tavares UFA signing even have a modern day comparison? |
