He was a good player his first two years and no, I don't put all the credit on Matthews. I mean, look at who we were comparing him to and Pasta's linemates. Are they any worse than what Nylander has had? Hell no, arguably better.

And neither Johnsson or Kappy have reached the same totals Willy did while playing with AM in his first two years, and lets not forget Hyman, who I have come to like, but also never scored much with AM.

Willy didn't just stop being a good player. He'll return to form next year I think. If we're lucky, he'll return to form sooner and have a good playoffs.

I’d agree with all this, but his compete lately doesn’t give me confidence. I don’t give guys a pass because we know they can be better. Fwiw I think playing on Kadri’s wing is the best spot for him. When he was on the 3rd line earlier in the year it got him out of his slump, and playing a more defensive role should hold him more accountable.

AA surprises me. I think Fake is much more of a contrarian, and when arguing, likes to talk down to people to purposely annoy them. I thought AA would lose easily in this round.
