Didn't we get destroyed in games 1 and 2 last year? From that point on, the boys settled in and almost came all the way back to win. Let's just play like we can from game 1 puck drop? (frank)

yeah 1 and 2 were a mess

Boston averaged like 5 powerplays per game for each home game last year.
Dang refs..

I believe the Bruins are the second most penalized team in the league this year.

That'll change on thursday! Wooo!

Yeah. a fast start is crucial.

If the Bruins hand it to us in game 1, nevermind game 2 also, the same way they did last year, I can't see the Leafs overcoming that.

A little confidence would go a long way, as would some goaltending, and our best players showing up. A motivated, Kadri with a little more discipline would be a big plus.

The Bruins are so good, the Leafs will need all of this.

Game 2 we started off really well, but Boston put up 3 goals on their first 5 shots and then McElhinney came in. That better not happen again. Unless Hutchinson can do better than McElhinney did

Honest question...

Did you see what happened to them last year. Somehow, it did in fact turn around for them. Somehow, they got a lot less penalties than the least physical, softest team in the league.

Honestly, I don't remember. I remember you all seemingly to think it was one sided, but if we're being honest, I've seen that during a poop ton of regular season games and remember the same spiel in 2013.

I'll be willing to discuss what we all think is questionable calls on off days if you're up for it.

Sounds good, except I imagine I will be too pissed off if that same crap happens again.

... or if the Leafs just don't show up ready to play, again.

It has a very high population of latin americans and people of Spanish decent. Part of my family went there when they moved here from Cuba.

"By the turn of the 21st century, the neighborhood had attracted a large community of college-educated professionals, political activists and artists.[39]

Hyde, Jackson, and Egleston Squares have significant Spanish-speaking populations mainly from the Dominican Republic, but also from Puerto Rico and Cuba."

I only know it from playing risk online.. Boston is the best map. Lol..

Funny how in America you have neighbourhood that are known from being a certain ethnicity. I suppose we have that here, but not on that level. Cities here are just kinda mixed.

I thought the reffing during last year's series was just as bad as it usually is.

It will probably benefit the leafs if there is no penalties called. Their pp is garbage and I can only assume Bruins is pretty good.

I watched last year.

absolutely retarded penalty disparity.

I think it really says something when fans of every other team comes into this blog and comments about how much of a joke the officiating was.

Like, almost every fanbase hates/dislikes the Leafs but even they could see how bad it was.

I am hoping that it was because the leafs were not skating through checks and drawing penalties.

While the refereeing was bad, as other pointed out, it is always bad.

The big fear is that they have not been able to draw penalties in the regular season this year. If they play a similarly passive style and let the Bruins dominate them, they won't be even on the penalty sheet, again.

Your first line was really the biggest difference. Your two best players are playoff-experienced veterans, matched with a fantastic young winger.

Compare what they did to the Matthews / Nylander line (while they were together). That was the whole series, right there.

They might do it again this year. There is nothing to suggest the Leafs are the better team and MMN are still very young.

Idiot fans of other teams need to learn the definitions of "choke" and "upset" as they apply to sports. It will be no choke or upset if Boston beats Toronto.
