You never came up with any of this. You regurgitated it all from stuff others posted like you always do. Were you just spit balling ? - GPHawksfan
Yes just spit balling just for discussion sake just a possible line up that fills holes the current roster lacks. What would be your potential roster next season hawks roster. Plus i mention it was other people and mine own thoughts on how the roster should be. |

Wait...if we do bring him back why is AA playing LW and not C? Especially when the 3 and 4C's you suggested are rather weak...
I'm still not letting go of my Panarin/Seabrook dream. Rid ourselves of Seabs and bring back the breadman....
Maybe use Kahun and one of our many promising D prospects as sweeteners in a potential Seabs trade.
I also really like the idea of acquiring Tanev
Panarin-AA-Kane
Saad-Toews-Sikura
Dcat-Strome-Perlini
Drake-Kampf-Tanev
BOOM! Instantly one of the top forward groups in the league
Get some growth and development from our young Dmen(we should draft another with our upcoming 1st round pick IMO), mix them in with Keith, Gus, and Murphy and get elite goaltending from Crow.
In a year or 2 we just might be ready to contend again. - SimpleJack
I actually like your forward lines but really don't think Panarin is an option. He doesn't really solve a need and a luxury like him shouldn't take up cap space that is better used to improve the blueline, possible backup goalie, and future contracts for DeBrincat and Strome. Plus, just don't see Seabrook departing and think he and Keith retire as career-long Blackhawks.
So the question would be is there an affordable, high impact winger who can play with Kane to make the 1st line a true top 6 line?
x - Anisimov - Kane
Saad - Toews - Sikura
DeBrincat - Strome - Perlini
Caggiula - Kampf - Tanev
Perlini is another question mark because of his inconsistency but I think is worth another look on a 2-year low AAV contract. If he can apply himself game in and out, he has shown he can be a handful to contain and be a solid contributor.
Some would argue Sikura is in the same situation. I would say yes in terms of a similar contract but not in terms of his consistent effort across 200 feet and his offensive skill. |

Would anyone expound upon why Columbus appears likely to fall in round one? I have some thoughts but i do not see the Blue Jackets play. Two very good dmen Werenski and S Jones yet Torts has trouble getting results with this team.
And if you have a pick who emerges from the Western Conference to loose vs Tampa, i am curious your choice and not looking to debate. Some quick observations: Might Vegas get to the final again. Maybe. Nashville surprise? Probably not. San Jose has clutch defense and goaltending .....not to trust
Calgary could be a tough out but the goaltending is average. Winnipeg and St Louis have issues. So i imagine Vegas could emerge. Your two cents? |

Trying to envision both Panarin and DeBrincat on same roster
Not a prudent money decision. I vote no. Whom gets loped off if Panarin then no_________. - jhawk59
Then add Cole Caudfield to the mix. |

Good for Q wish him well ,would not be surprised to see Keith follow .Makes sense for Keith with the taxes ,and I think Q would want him . Need a big change on the back end and Keith is the alpha dog ,nothing going to change until he moves on . |

Since DeBrincat success stirs the imagination, there is a higher liklihood Caulfield goes early not 2nd round. I will wait until playoffs end then look where wiz projects him to go. [url] |

Why and how does Keith go anywhere? Really, I am unable to wrap my mind around how anyone thinks he will be gone. What is Florida going to send back? How does that improve this team? |

It would give $5M in glorious cap space, which can be used to overpay an old UFA entering the downside of his career. What more could one want? |

Exactly! If he is not currently a Blackhawk, that player is automatically better. |

Maybe I'm just too old school, but in my opinion Cat has earned it more than Panarin. And we don't know with Cat yet, but the next time Panarin shows up in the playoffs will be the first time. It's a tall order but also a huge opportunity for the Blue Jackets going up against Tampa to show what they are all made of. |

I guess you sort of overlooked the Washington series last season then ... dude gets taken out with a bum knee after basically single-handedly making the series competitive -since the Jackets would have been done in a sweep without him... but you know, whatever.
Seriously, I never have gotten the Panarin hate in here -it transcends a joke a lot of times. |

Was about to write that the first game of that series is big, but then remembered they went up big on the Caps last year, with Panarin playing well. Then Panarin disappeared and the Caps won. |

Seriously?
Most people hear have never given up on having him come back on a white horse to save the franchise. If anything, it transcends a joke that so many people hold him in such high regard. |

Until such time as there is a ready replacement to take the minutes and responsibilities, Keith is going nowhere. He is still probably the Hawks best defenseman, even with some slippage in his game. If the Hawks believe they will contend for a playoff spot, it will be with Keith, not without him, in 2019-2020. The unrestricted free agent pickings aren't all that exciting, and especially if the team has to way overpay for a player like Stralman. |

Keith isn't probably the best Hawk defenseman, he is the best Hawk defenseman. And sadly it can be argued Seabrook is the second best defenseman. I'd prefer the hawks not over pay and over term anyone who's best years are behind them. Unless Stralman would agree to a shorter term I hope the Hawks steer clear. I'm hoping Bowman can capture lighting again and pull off similar trades as he did for Strome, Perlini and Caggulia this time for a younger defenseman who hasn't developed on his current team. |

Totally agree. Team defense was not good. Keith may have fallen off a little, but he was a team leading plus 13 on a team with a new coach, a new defensive scheme, a rookie partner (Joki) much of the time, another partner that was pretty awful on defense (Gus), so so goaltending, and forwards that did not help much. He led the team on TOI. AND his play and stats improved toward the end of the year. AND you do not have an all star caliber player waiting in the wings to take his place.
Keep Keith for at least another year and see how the other defenders and prospects progress. I do not see this team being stellar defensively next year, but they will add a top 4 defender, maybe two 200' forwards, and with a full training camp, and hopefully Crow healthy for 55 games, the defensive could be significantly better.
