He’s literally the only player on this team that has any sort of energy. He should never be out of the lineup. Especially when you know the Pens are going to get physically abused against every single team except their best matchup the Tampa Bay regular season hero’s.

At the begging of the conversation I said there’s plenty chance that the Penguins don’t play their best hockey this series for a multitude of reasons. I haven’t jinxed anything, just stated the facts that a) we have more talent, and b) keep ‘em to the outside and finish your chances hockey isn’t a good formula success when you don’t have finishers.

Pens are 1st in the league in hits (by almost 100) and 9th in the league blocked shots. Thats two metrics I know you love and they are in the upper echelon of.

They do not need Garret Wilson for anything. He brings very little to the table. He's less than vanilla.

Haha Nah. Too many years of playoff experience for this guy with most of those years not ending with a cup. I remember watching all 5 of the Pens cups and every other early exit in between and after.


I think the Pens have a great chance this year but I also think the Isles have a great chance vs the Pens. This could go either way. I dont take a single team in the playoffs lightly. Look how close all the standings are. Its unreal.

Standing points don’t really tell the whole story here. We easily lost the most points to man games lost out of the playoff teams in the Met and finished three games back of the division champion. If we were full strength most of the season, we probably easily take the division and now we’re heading into the post season healthy. Of good decisions are made with the blue line we’ll be by far the best version of the Pens we’ve been all season.

My brand all year was that when the games really matter they'd be hard to play against and I think thats true. Even against the Rangers on Saturday I felt like most of them were holding back to a degree....and Sid and Jake wanted their milestones...

I will also add that if your team really needs Garrett f'n Wilson for energy in the PLAYOFFS then the team doesn't deserve to go anywhere in them...
