The crylanders have no experience when it comes to playoffs. They will be overwhelmed.

He's definitely scoring some big time timely goals this series... Shorthanded Id say

NHL.com says he's expected to play on their second line. Of course they expect Maatta to replace JJ on the second pair, so I'm not sure what they base that on.

They base it on logic, but sadly the coaching staff does not. Who knows, maybe we'll be surprised and JJ sits.

I honestly don’t even need him to sit to be happy. It would be nice to maximize the roster and do that, but understand it’s unlikely. I just need him away from Schultz and on the bottom pairing so we can functionally hide a pairing rather than have two pairings playing at bottom pairing caliber.

Yeah...

Maatta - Tang
Dumo - Schultz

It's gonna be absolutely f'n maddening if they're losing AND ole Mikey boy won't go with it.

It is freaking terrible. You’d think an advanced aged adult like me could get a grip on the fact that the shirt, hat and seat position only nets you a maximum of 2 goals per game at play-off time.

Maddening!!!!

What about the 4th line of:

53-7-10...where does ZAR slot?

Should be 46-53-10

I bet Cullen has a strong playoff. Hopefully they take Simon off the top 6. He is completely snake bitten. Just can’t finish

It's not about being happy, but as you said, it's unlikely and they need to properly utilize who they're dressing.

ZAR coming back will be interesting. ZAR-Geno-Phil was playing well, so I'm not sure if the play is to reunite them. My guess is Wilson will be the odd man out although I'm happy with ZAR staying out.

😂

If the islanders play their game it’ll be a good series. Can honestly see it go either way though letang and Malkin being back will be a huge boost for the pens...

I think this series will be totally dependent on Sullivan/Martin's lineup decisions and which version of the Penguins shows up after that. You guys are super goalie dependent, so I think if we're firing on all cylanders, our elite fire power will be too much Lehner and Greiss to carry the team. But if Johnson continues to get top 4 deployment and kill Schultz, that smothers our offense and and reduces our comparative advantage significantly, which would turn the series into a goalie dual between Murr and your guys, at which point it's anyone's series. There's also the chance that we just play Sloppy Penguins Hockey (TM), at which point it's also anyone's series.

TL;DNR: If its best on best hockey where the Pens are playing up to their potential and the Islanders are playing up to their potential, I'm confident in the good guys, but there's a significant chance that the Penguins will not play up to their potential for one reason or another.

The series comes down to which Pens team shows up. Basically a 50/50 series going 7 games. I wish I had confidence in the Pens ability to play a patient methodical game.

Since JJ won't sit, I think they should bench Maatta over Pet.

First goal is going to be huge in this series. Most if not all of these games, two goals will be enough to win.

I think I'd rather have Cullen in lineup over Wilson.

I'd put ZAR back with Geno and Phil and let the depth trickle.
