He was a top 20 center, according to someone.
- IonSabres

Derek Roy, 2007-2008 was 18th in scoring.

If he wanted to get his point across,
and actually make sense...
He’d just be comparing Jack to other really good players today,
not trying to bring Derek Roy into it

Jack doesnt compare to his peers

I'm having a pretty impressive year.
And I'm just ok being here, honestly I am expecting more from most of you.

No one is triggered I'm just sick of idiocy and petty comments

I can't wait for the guy who tells me I clearly hate Eichel when only a couple pages back I said I wouldn't trade him for McDerpid.

He is a highly skilled, very good player. I expected more out of him this year and I'm not making excuses for him. He simply did not deliver. Not on the scoresheet (I don't care how many posts or chances he had that he didn't bury - every single player has this excuse), not in a defensive mindset (he constantly stands and watches the other team skate up the ice when he turns the puck over, only to then skate really hard to get back and not play good defense), not in his physicality, not in his leadership and certainly not in the standings.

Cut the crap with the excuses, this team is horribly mis-managed and badly coached and people act like Eichel "not burying his chances" and shooting at a 4% to start the season means he was en route to a 150 point season.

News flash: He is right around his career shooting % to end the season, stepped up in the final home game to dominate the Binghamton, I mean Belleville Senators and the second he ran his #2 center out of town, that guy had a career season, too, in a year where Tarasenko only showed up for 1/3 of the games so stop with that rhetoric.

I am not impressed with a 4 year vet who barely cracked the top-25 scorers in the league and who's team finished 30th. I am not hammering off excuses. It is unacceptable. Bottom line.

That’s a more understandable comparison than to Derek Roy though

I wrote a book a while back called "Which Hills to Avoid Dying On" and Jack Eichel's Hill was Chapter One. If you want I can mail you a copy.

Flat out, if scoring at a point per game pace on one of the worst teams in the sport isn't impressive to you, hockey just isn't your sport.

so what did you expect Eichel to have numbers wise this year? on a 28th place team that has 1 scoring line?

This is the USA people don’t care
- gerbe75pts

Haha Haha. So true. As a Canadian, I’m shocked when I go shopping in the states. We had tap and debit cards forever. And the American shops won’t take Canadian quarters or coins, but took forever to adopt the debit card system. Crazy. And they all get so pissed when you buy shoes at the galleria mall and leave the shoe boxes in the parking lot.

McDavid has a clearly better. No comparison. My offer: Risto, 3 first round picks and Reinhart. Throw in McCabe or some non- Dahlin d man. Eichel if you have to, but subtract this years first rounder.

Step 2- profit.

Step 3- multiple cups.

Clarification: if McDavid wants out, Edmonton is over a barrel. Trade him before word gets out or get pennies on the dollar. You can’t say, we own your contract, birch! Play!

I did it this morning 5 times, got 1st on the first try and then the rest were either 5 or 6, like what you got. I can see the possibility if we finish 4th to come in at 5 or 6 during the lottery selection. And I'm actually ok with that because Turcotte, Boldy, Krebs or maybe even Cozens could be there.

Keep the eichel hate coming

What did he do , sleep with your sister?

How stupid is that?

When I mentioned sam, I mentioned he is one of 9 current forwards that could be moved.

I like risto alot, pommer alot, McCabe alot. I still like larry and girgs.

Even bogo now.

But, at some point some of these guys need to get moved. The losing every year spirals, and they have been here for all of it.

Drew Doughty is -32 and Risto is -43

So basically Risto isn't much worse than a Norris trophy winner.

If we win one more game we finish one point behind McJesus’ Oilers. One player does not define team success. This isn’t basketball. Apart from P.Kane idk many players that have a 18 point gap between them and the 2nd highest scoring player on their team that are in the top 25 in scoring. Eichel missed games and came back early from an injury and it affected him for 4 games and he still racked up 80 points. If this team plays meaningful hockey from game 1-82 and he can stay healthy Eichel has 100+ point potential.

I love the Canadians you step on their shoe they say sorry to you like they did it lol

In the United States you step on someone’s shoe you either get shot ( depending on location )or punched or threatened
