Depends on the sub. I absolutely detest sports and politics reddit. The downvote option is really bad for discourse because people will just downvote you it they disagree with your opinion and then if you go into negatives because you triggered someone people just assume you’re trolling and ignore your post.

Most nerdy fandom subs are awesome though. A bunch of really knowledgeable people that just wanna talk shop. I basically live in the Tolkien Fans subs these days.

311 is my guilty pleasure 3rd wave ska band, but Sublime is actually good. I think it's a stretch to call Pepper better than 311, although Kona Town is a great album. At the very least Peanut is a legitimately uber talented musician. I got really into his artsy side project Hollows Follows for a little while there.

I have a ton of nerdy subs... had the #1 all time in a certain nerd sub for a bit, made my vain self feel good for a solid 2 minutes.

Gwar headlined This Is Hardcore in Philly a few years back. My brother-in-law and I hung around for them. They played 1 song, then we looked at each other, agreed that we could say we saw Gwar live, and left.

I’m not pro trump or anti trump. I don’t care enough about politics. I’m pro trump for entertainment though. Dude is an amazing troll, but like everyone I disagree with some things he says. But most of the dems are retarded too. Like that AOC broad? Jesus Christ she’s an idiot. Andrew Yang has some interest ideas until he said to lower the voting age to 16 which is retarded.

The DC sub is also absolute trash given that it’s basically an extension of politics reddit and seems to only have obnoxious lefties that just want an echo chamber to complain about gentrification. I don’t think I’ve ever made a comment in that sub that wasn’t heavily downvoted. Even when I’m just asking a mundane question about what brew shops carry a specific beer. I think it’s because I made a comment about participating in the March for Life when the whole stuff with the high school kids happened and people just downvote me on instinct now.

I used to be a middle of the road guy. Moved back and forth a bit to either side and then (frank)ing social media happened. I ignore most of politics now when I can. It’s a (frank)ing plague. Drain the swamp they always talk about yet the constituents build levees all the (frank)ing time to keep it full on both sides. Between the antifa vs torch nazis, I gave up. (frank) all of politics.
