Sanders and Hillary ripped apart the remnants of any chance of a democratic win. Had they solidified earlier it might’ve helped.

I used to be a middle of the road guy. Moved back and forth a bit to either side and then (frank)ing social media happened. I ignore most of politics now when I can. It’s a (frank)ing plague. Drain the swamp they always talk about yet the constituents build levees all the (frank)ing time to keep it full on both sides. Between the antifa vs torch nazis, I gave up. (frank) all of politics.

I was indoctrinated by Ron Paul in high school and have gradually become what I consider to be a moderate libertarian in which I think most of the principles are right but I no longer think Keynes was a total charlatan anymore after taking basic Econ classes and figuring out that the pragmatism of pure libertarianism doesn’t jive with Catholic social teaching.

I think it spoke more to how bad Hilary was, especially after cheating Sanders.

Yeah I abstained because I can’t vote for a neocon foreign policy anymore but I’m pretty damn close to voting “not trump” this time around regardless of the other candidate. I draw the line at bernie and Warren. I’ll abstain again if one of those two get the nom.

I want the current gun laws and policies to actually be enforced properly before looking to add more. In my mind, there is zero point to add more legislation that will just be ignored in a decade.

I don’t view it that way. I stick with the woman’s body, woman’s choice. Especially since the vast majority of abortions happen early on, if I remember right.

Depends on the sub. I absolutely detest sports and politics reddit. The downvote option is really bad for discourse because people will just downvote you it they disagree with your opinion and then if you go into negatives because you triggered someone people just assume you’re trolling and ignore your post.

Most nerdy fandom subs are awesome though. A bunch of really knowledgeable people that just wanna talk shop. I basically live in the Tolkien Fans subs these days.

The funniest part is that Obama has the exact same views on immigration when he was running. The only reason the majority of people are against them is because it’s coming from Trumps mouth. If it was coming from Obama, they’d be like “well that makes sense it’s a valid argument. We should strengthen the border.” That’s where the identity politics have (frank)ed everything up.
