With each of Prout, Fantenburg, Kyllington and Stone coughing up the puck at various times vs the Ducks. My choice would be Valimaki. Guy is silky smooth, cool under pressure. Peters is going to have options.

Fanta should start with Andersson.

Avalanche and Stars don't have the depth at forward or defence to hang with the Flames. Either matchup is tilted heavily in the Flames' favour.

Mackinnon can't be that big of a beast. He's yet to make it past the first round and this year won't change that. Their top line is fantastic, Barrie is okay, and there's no one else that matters after that.

Flames are the second best team in the West. Let's not start panicking because the Avalanche got hot against some crappy teams.

I think it's pretty clear that the Blues are the best team in the West. What are their weaknesses? They've got skill, speed, size, and depth. The only question is whether Binnington can keep it up, but there've been a bunch of young goalies finding immediate success over the last few years.

Hopefully, Nashville and Winnipeg can get it done tonight so their road to Calgary is as difficult as possible.
