Howard going to the bench and then getting his ass back to the net was pretty (frank)ing hilarious.

When healthy I think we’re better. Issue is we haven’t been healthy all year and we’re STILL losing guys to injury on a night to night basis.

Not just RW but I’ve felt like a lot of people have been taking teams like Detroit and the Rangers lightly when some of these teams are really rolling.

I like the idea of Bjugstad on the top unit: I think he’s got good skills and he has a certain poise with the puck that 72 does not

Schultz looks like a different player rn. His decisions with the puck are awful. Someone make it stop - thanks

I've been wondering why Kessel hasn't gotten some shifts with Sid. He finally get's the 5v5 monkey off his back.

One thing I've noticed since Malkin has been down, Phil has zero room.

That's the big question. How many games this season has that been the case? Like 6?

Phil has never been a guy who makes his own room. Even going back to Toronto, he’s a guy who scores off the rush so often and if he’s not on the ice with guys that can facilitate that rush then goals at 5v5 are going to be more difficult to come by. Malkin is so good at manipulating space east to west while still moving at a high speed north south it lets Phil get the lanes. Without Geno it an adequate Dman getting him the puck Phil either A. Gets caught down low supporting the D that’s buried in there own zone or B. Leads the rush 1 on 3 and has no support.
