2nd period, Moose woke up.

Berdin makes nice outlet pass to his D, dekes out a Condor forward behind his own net, made some good saves. Should be an entertaining player to watch in the future.

Vesalainen can skate, and protect the puck. Cycled the puck well in the boards.

2 - 1 for the Moose.

Berdin cleared the puck out of his zone at least 5 times in the first period and tried to thread the needle on an outlet pass up the middle, lol. It could have had a different result but he got away with it. When he is clearing the puck off the glass, the puck is moving. It’s not a feeble clearing shot, the puck is going out at slapper speed.

Dano got 5 and ejected, hitting from behind. Bad call. He let up but bad call.

Condor shots 13, Moose 4. There is a first period recap.

Blues only a tie tonight. Good news, Jets just need a win and a tie to get home ice advantage should they meet the Blues

Here’s the roundup. Moose win.

Berdin- awesome, his style is nothing even close to Helle style or Comrie style. He is more reactive, anticipating the shot, sees the puck through traffic and recovers on deflections, bouncing and knuckle ball pucks. Also, he thinks part of his job is a defenseman.

Vesalainen - can skate. Protects the puck on cycling, uses his body to protect, looked right at home, 2 assists

Appleton - game winner, grinds it out where ever the puck is, works hard, lots of energy

Shaw- one heck of an AHL player, that’s about all I can say about that. Works his butt off and is a definite heartbeat of this team

Stanley - looks ok. Not fleet of foot but gets the job done. He is coming along, looked better than he did at the start of the year. I can’t help to think that this guy is still growing into his body, he is huge. Good shot, took a penalty when he the opposing player got position on him.

There is the scouting report.

Great job - very interesting.! Wonder what they'll do with Berdin and Stanley with expansion draft looming? Trade them?

Don't know, but any thought or talk about trading Berdin would be considered pure insanity.

I've been eyeing Shaw as a possible replacement for Tanev next year if Jets can't sign him.

It was a late goal by the Blues, and a tie doesnt really help the Jets. Had the Blues lost then merely a Nashville loss and a Jets win was good enough. Now Jets need Blues to also lose at least once or Jets will need two wins or a Win and tie.
