Jack Eichel is NOT having an impressive season. I don't care what team he plays on, or what he plays for. He is a great player. But tell me how comparing this year to Derek Roy's best season is wrong? People never give Roy credit for his good seasons but everyone is writing home about Eichel's current 77 point season? It is simply not impressive.

Comparing Eichel to Roy is asinine and you talk about uneducated fans? You can't honestly believe that Roy is just as good as Eichel.. Can you?

A mix of Erod, Wilson, Asplund, a new PK vet and another modern, speedy 4th liner should be the mix for the 4th line and 2 extra forward spots imo. Larsson and Wilson are functionally interchangeable to me

Okposo, Sobotka and Girgensons need to be purged

- jcragcrumple

Larsson has been an incredibly good defensive forward this year.

Like actually handled 80+% D zone starts and had a positive CF%

Only 3 players have done that this year in the NHL

Sean Couturier
Evan Rodrigues
Johan Larsson

It’s an interesting stat

This town will never learn.

We hate good players and lionize the sucky ones for trying hard, as if the good ones don't.

We do this over and over and literally never learn. It's insanity.

Why does this town love players that suck?

Jack has not had a special season. He does not dominate. He is what he is right now - a step above Derek Roy.

Said that. ^^

I'll ask for the folk, Jack is just a step above Derek Roy?

Jack Eichel is having a Derek Roy type of season and people are slobbing his knob like he is top 10 in scoring.

Career highs in goals and assists, points... in a year where there are over ten 40-goal scorers, forty players at a .ppg or bettet, and almost ten more players over 90 points, with possibly 5 guys who will finish with 100 points.

He has been a disappointment because he ain't a selke candidate now, is he? Meanwhile, almost identical numbers from a true 2-way center that we traded away...

Jack has not had a special season. He does not dominate. He is what he is right now - a step above Derek Roy.

It’s going to be a stupid debate but let’s say jack had the forwards we had with the “Roy “ team he easily get 100 points and we be in the playoffs

Could Ottawa want KO to reach the cap floor?
- 716

We’d still have to make it worth their while
If they really need to hit the Cap floor,
they can always just overpay some UFAs to get there

I’d definitely explore it though

Probably.

I still think Jack can do more, both as a Captain and on the score sheet. Comparing him to Roy though, that's pretty tough.

Agreed

But if we don’t like who could be available with it...
There’s always the potential for another Montour-like trade
I’d be ok with that as well

Schopp killing it on GR. Sabres had the player to fill their biggest glaring need and chose to get rid of him.

What a putz of a GM. He f'd this team up, made them an embarrassment and sat back and did nothing but watch it implode. Cause for termination. Maybe he can spend an entire draft on D-men again. Get that bum out of here. Today.

Alex Turcotte will make people forget about ROR real soon. Patience is a virtue. If your boy Murray had any sense of patience he’d still be here.

No we’d rather have ROR and pick 13th...... People would rather lose in 5 against the Lightning instead of adding a player that can hopefully put us on a level where we can compete with Tampa.

No one... including you... thought we’d drop this far down the standings

At the time, we were arguing about a Top10 pick, maybe get to 8th
