VGK and SJ are also in that 5 game streak. DET is peaking at the right time

Cant get behind Ovechkin being better than Mario. He has a wicked shot, but Mario did too and Mario did anything and everything else.

Mario also shot from behind the red line, used the back of the net to pass to himself/teammates, so I'm not sure where Gretzky is the only one to do this comes from. I wish I could have seen Orr play live; I'd love to have an honest, non-biased comparison of him to 99 and 66. Mario dominated and controlled a game in ways even Gretzky could not do. With no disrespect meant to 99, I like to take issue with the 99 was the best, no argument mentality. I'd like to see 99 get players like Doug Shedden, Warren Young, Terry Ruskowski among others anywhere near 100 points.... Mario played with Dan Frawley on his wing at times. Yikes! And we think the Pens had trouble finding Sid a winger....
