Apropos of nothing:

Michal Kempny tore his left hamstring and had surgery. He’s expected to miss four to six months.

Was playing about 19 mins a night.

Great. I remember watching that game on TV, it was a Friday night against the Oakland seals, I think I might’ve been about 12 or 13 at the time actually they fought three times in a game. It was awesome hearing Lloyd Petit do the play-by-play. If I am served correctly Tony Esposito was the goalie that night. And I want to say the game was mid November, early December.

Black and white telecast with Lloyd Petit and Lou Boudreau doing color if I remember correctly. I think Esposito was the goalie, and I know DeJordy was on the bench. It was probably the west coast swing which was usually about the time you mention. Magnuson, Esposito, and Koroll were all rookies. The worst to first year I think. I was about 15 at the time. And I'll never forget that game.

Neither will I forget that game moving on
Not promoting hooliganism but this team here does not play for each other I don’t think this
Team Has three fighting majors all year let alone one game.
I’ve stated my feelings the last couple of days, will see if Stan will be all talk like he was last year. When it came to the draft in free agency. He’ll probably do like he did last year ...........Just blow a big fart and that’ll be it. Hopefully next year at this time they are having a huge press conference that Bowman is out if that is the case.

It is though

Panarin continues to break scoring records at Columbus and is one of the top wingers in the league and we traded him for a 3rd liner.

- SimpleJack

It isn't though...not even close. Don't know how old you are Jack but look up the Phil Esposito trade that sent him, Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield to the Bruins.

Esposito was the Bruins 1C and won two Stanley Cups with them. He led the league in goals six times, including a record 76 in 1970-71. He was the scoring champion five times.

Look up Hodge and Stanfield's stats which are both pretty respectable. Panarin's a good player but he'll never be confused for one of the all time greats in Espo.

I think you're suffering from recency bias.

Didn’t approve of the fight? What was he supposed to do? He got jumped. Can’t believe Byfuglien didn’t get an instigator on that. Illegal hit to the head followed by not allowing Cagguila to skate away.

Department of player safety continues to be the biggest bunch of hypocrites in the game.

classless play by the BigBuffoon...they need to start calling that BS of once a guy is down pushing back down when he tries to get up or the crosscheck to back when the player is down...

It is D Sikura time. To score goals. Had two goals on Icehogs victory tonight.

Maybe the fat lady can sing about that!

Highmore returned to lineup. Don't know why Carlsson not playing again. Must be injured. Icehogs website of no help. Their regular season ends two weekends away.

Late note:,After tonight's games Columbus with same 94 points as Montreal but Blue Jackets. would be the final wild card since they have two more victories. Panarin lives for another playoff showing. Oh so that is what the fat lady is singing about!

That's a wrap. Hopefully we drop to 9 since the percentage change from 10->9 is pretty large. If we get to 9 we have a 1/6 change for a top 3 pick.

Largest top 3 percentage differences.

1) 2->1 9%
2) 3->2 5%
3) 4->3 5%
4) 10->9 4.6%

Very interesting if we get the #3 overall. The third pick ought to be the top power forward available. Is there any chance whomever picks one and two would swap spots with us? They might if we offer Gus and maybe something else. Worth it? We would then be drafting either Hughes or the swede what's his name Kakko.

No playoffs this year... not a surprise.

Can't wait to see the same team come back next season and improve by 2-3 points.

But THEN Boqvist is only one year away or less!

When he skates in his first NHL game i think you will be like the Cub fan in a political cartoon (2005) who is peeking out from the street sewer manhole since the White Sox were in the World Series.

All kidding aside i know right now u r watching Hughes and Canucks.

If that happens i guess we see a new version of Bowman's infamous NM (no movement) contract.
In the meantime Gus enjoys that measure of succeess.

Ah yes, the McD narrative again. Not sure if you expect the President of the team to be telling the fanbase the team is transitioning and trying to rebuild to be a contender or if he should just say the team sucks? Why so many fans get hung up on what the team president, who's job it is to sell the team, says I'll never understand?

You're suffering old man bias. Who was Esposito, Hodge or Stanfield anyway. And what is a Pit Martin? C'mon get with it the worst trade of all time was Panarin for Saad right up there with releasing the great Wayne Pirri.
