Dude...
u just used a 17game sample size to try & back your horribly ridiculous point

ROR has a “career year”
He isn’t “already declining”

You’re better than that... i thought

- jdfitz77

Ok lets see what he does the final 5 games and playoffs and during the rest of the duration of his contract. The last 17 games he's played could be a foreshadowing what could be coming for him. Skinner has one goal in his last 22 games, but hey he scored 37 goals this year so who cares right ?

it was so bad last night, I had to turn it off when I saw nylander with gus and larsson

- homiedclown

lucky for me I missed last night's game and won't watch it on replay...

Nylander w/gus and larry, huh?

*snicker, snicker*

Even the best players are streaky
Were u railing on Crosby a few years back when he only had something like 1 goal in 17 games?
Somehow, he’s still good though

Taking that small a sample size & projecting it mean all that much is crazy

Mitts should’ve been a superstar this year bc he had 5pts in 6 games at the end of last season... right?

At the end of the season,
ROR has a career year

IF he drops down below his average 55-60pts next year...
THEN u can say he’s declining and actually have some merit to your point

At the end of the season we have a top 5 pick who we get to look forward to for the next 10-15 years while Blues fans pile on ROR like we do on Okposo in 2 years time.

ror is doing in st. louis what he's been doing his entire career, for now three different teams...no reason we should see a precipitous change like we have with okposop

Pure speculation
Why not just wait till he actually starts declining before u make these bold statements?

Also...
the Top5 pick we are getting was an accident
The trade wasn’t made with that in mind,
and you know it
Acting like it was part of the trade just isn’t true
And also...
pick 12 or 18 or whatever that we’d have gotten instead of we kept him could still turn out to be a great player for us
Happens EVERY single year where guys picked in the teens end up being better than Top10 guys

Right?!

At some point he will decline
But anyone acting like they know when it’ll actually happen is nuts though

And the guy just turned 28, not 32

Okposo had a PPG of 0.87 if you take his last 3 seasons with the Isles into consideration before coming to Buffalo. In ROR's three seasons here he had a PPG of 0.78. ROR arguably is playing with the best linemates he's ever had in Tarasenko and Schenn but even after his hot start its not liked hes learnt how to skate any faster nor does he have elite hands or an elite shot. I would put big money on ROR declining back to being a 55 point player next year and the Blues being a prime candidate to miss the post season next year barring Binnington/Allen putting up vezina numbers over the course of a season again.

I’ll take your points bet

The rest is up in the air
StL has been declining for a while now
And goaltending really was killing them
Wouldn’t be a surprise if the team struggled next year

Comparing 2 different players like that is apples and oranges

Not all decrease at the same rate,
or at the same age

he's still the same two-way player he's always been...is this a career year for him?...yes...will he match it?...idk...but it seems as if he may have found a home and is quite comfortable in those surroundings

This is a TRAP GAME for C-Bus. It will likely be a 1 goal game. Hopefully CBJ can keep streaking.

I'd sell every player not named
eichel
dahlin
skunk
montour
at the draft

keep kids and prospects, pilut, casey, stinklander, olofsson, etc, etc, etc

sell every freaking one of them and get them the hell out of here

off to read (reed) a well written blog

Montour can go. Waste of a pick. I am fine with Botts being shown the door at this point. Let him go back to managing salary caps.

I got offered free club level seats for tonight. It was an easy no, even with Olofsson.

Seeing as I haven't watched games recently, I'm curious, are we getting fire Housley chants yet?

Don't worry, I'll be there rocking my original Columbus blue jersey and it'll will them to victory.

Wonder if Jeremy White will be rocking his signed Cam Atkinson "hail the tank" jersey
