So many defenseman up with the big club. It's nice to see the depth! - Ol_Boy_Wop
Now that they have clinched, give the defense a rest.
Play: Valimaki, Stone, Kylington, Fantenberg & Prout
Rest: Gio, Brodie, Hamonic, Hanifin and Andersson
Do this for at least 1 game - If they win vs LA, do it for 2 games.
Bring back in Gio, Brodie, Hamonic, Hanifin and Andersson for at least the last game vs EDM, if not the second last game vs the Ducks.

Teams rarely rest players just to rest them because it's pointless and is more likely to be harmful than anything. Any rest a player needs can be dealt with by adjusting practices. Most players want to play every game and getting one game off isn't going to do anything at all. Washington wasn't concerned about getting their players rest at the end of last year and things turned out pretty good for them.
They're all getting at least 2 days off before the playoffs start, and I've heard the Flames might not be starting until the 11th.

Neal had one Hell of a game tonight. If that's the James Neal we get in playoffs (and that is normal), then he's going to be a monster.
Man, what a season. I thought this team would be top 3 in the Division. I never in my wildest dreams thought they would win the entire Conference. We have something really special going here, and whatever happens next, it has been a great ride.
Now let's go to the playoffs and win this damn thing. |

Exactly. For me, the season is already a success. I'd be disappointed if the Flames lost in round 1 to a team around 20 points behind them but after the display they put on last season, I really didn't expect a whole hell of a lot. I love this team and the future looks good! |

I haven't even seen anywhere that confirms him being signed, just that the Flames are "close". |

Ditto - awesome to clinch things last night and, it certainly didn't hurt to piss off a few Sharks along the way. Their first round with Vegas is going to be heavy hitting and fast paced and outside of the Flames games, that's the series I'm most looking forward to watching. Reaves and Haley likely chuck knucks in the first game, betting Carrier and Kane come together at some point...
Sounds like Tre is telling the troops that the top 4 are out tonight and Backs/Chucky will be eating popcorn alongside them, with Benny and Quine drawing in up front.
Thinking that puts the top line on the shelf vs the Ducks and/or Oilers, who better start not poop on the last night of the season... |
