Could there be something deeper that’s wrong with this organization?
ROR: Lost love for the game here. Wanted out.
Lehner: Alcohol abuse, depression, suicidal thoughts.
Okposo: Depression, suicidal thoughts.
Berglund: Depression, walked away from a pile of money to leave this team.

Does any other team in the league have a list like this? 3/4 of these guys could not be happier to be away from this place. And the other one probably wouldn’t mind splitting either.

Even the players without clinically diagnosed problems look miserable. Now the fans have no choice but to cheer for losses and hold expectations that this next draft pick will be the one to finally turn everything around. I wish that guy the best of luck.

AND DONT FORGET VILLE LEINO! We all hate that wiener but he felt like he was in an emotional prison while here and basically walked away from a hockey career just to get out of here. His dark art signifies something bad at the core of this team.

Well I WAS trying to forget about VL, but sure, add him to the list. Throw another log on the fire.

You can throw the Babcock and Vesey logs on too if you like.

Babcock, who is rumored to be on the outs in TO and Vesey the guy that every Rags fan wants to be traded away yesterday.
Neither of those guys bother me at all. Throw Antonio Brown onto the list I couldn't give two sh!ts about.

Just saw this from a poster in Eks blog:

It's old, but entertaining and a bit relatable.

All meet criteria, therefore all apply despite ability. Will Butcher next.

I think Sabre players are wallowing in their own misery and feeling sorry for themselves. Jack was reading from ROR’s script during the last post game interview. He should be happy, doesn’t he know we’re getting a totally female dogin’ draft pick?

Its sad that this is the most excited I've been for a game in months. We finally get to see Olofsson and I guarantee those that haven't watched him in Rochester will be impressed by his shot and offensive ability.

Its a shame it took this long to happen. Everything has been done ass backwards this season. Nylander should have made the team from the start, Thompson should have started in the AHL, & Olofsson should have been the first call up for forwards. Oh well. Hopefully Thompson gets back on track with a REAL HC in Taylor.

And the list grows longer.

Can't miss have the longest playoff drought in the league (now) and expect players to have us as a desired location.

Keep getting young guys who are under contract and drafting until we are out of the basement, then this pattern will change. Must exit the basement first though.

Agreed with all, but I think CJ Smith earned first call up. He was producing more, had been on the farm for an extra year and is a bit older. Otherwise, Tage/Nylander switch and the excitement for Goalofsson is spot on.

I should have stated olofsson first call up for top 6 spot and cj for bottom 6 spot. Depending on who was out.

That's fair. Certainly would've better aligned with their respective skill sets. Good call.

JBotts stated from the beginning that he wanted to build a winner in Rochester that would eventually transition to Buffalo. Would the team be in a much better position if Nylander was here all year or if Olofsson was called up in November? Perhaps, but unlikely we'd be in the playoffs. I feel their time this year in Rochester helped their development more than if they played here all season.
And although the Sabres may have a better record at the end of the year, in the long run the team will be better picking 5th instead of 15th.
