Not that +/- is a great stat. But when you are the worst In The NHL over the last 3 years by a wide margin. It should say something.

And yes, that he’s not good defensively

But +/- is much more of a team stat
Look at ROR between last year & this year

Or look at Doughty
Is he horrible at defense now?
Or do the Kings just suck like us?

Panthers might be this year's Hurricanes. See which players you can scalp from them. Imagine figuring out a way to get Trochek from the Panthers. He's having a down year, even outside of his long term injury. The guys is exactly what the Sabres need in every way shape and form. And what a hell of a contract. I would probably use Buffalo's non-lottery winning 1st on him. 25, excellent contract value.

3rd in TOI is Montour -1 (time with Sabres)
4th is Dahlin -8

Montour and Dahlin are also offensive defensemen right?

In 97 when Brian Leetch was 28 on a Rangers team that saw Gretzky score 90 points and Lafontaine was the second line center he led the league with the worst +/- at -36. Does that say he was bad at the defense thing or that it was not a good team? Beukeboom was a -25 and the other 10 defenseman that played that season were a combined -11.

I've backed Risto for a long time. I can't anymore.

He's terrible in his own end, night in and night out. His paycheck is based on his ability to produce offensively. He's been replaced. I like the grit he brings, but his IQ is just.. so.. so low.

A coach will give him 65% o zone starts w/ PP1 and he'll put up 65 points with an even +/-
