He was signed less than two weeks ago: he needed to get in some practice time, and as Carol mentioned, had/has exams. Up until this weekend, they did have a somewhat chance to get in, so one could see why Green went with a known known in DP.

Wasn't Teves signed only for the remainder of this season, with the hope that management could get a good look at him in pro games and decide how to proceed? I think its funny that Green still thinks this team has a chance to play in the playoffs, and continues to let Pouliot draw in instead of this kid. Green is an idiot.

we aren't playing meaningful games in March, and the sooner everyone understands that, the better off we are lol. I dont know if it was Joey Kenward, or another Canucks media guy, but someone had said he was done a couple days after signing, and the kid has been practicing with the team since. If he is truly done exams, play him every game and see what you got. Sit the vets, play Demko every remaining game. To further the above, Teves was literally signed for this season only as a "show me what you got" contract, so its not really stupid to assume we should be seeing him as much as possible moving forward.

This is an outlandish take. Markstrom is our starter not Demko. Demko clearly isn’t ready for this. Teves is getting resigned no matter what he does in two meaningless games

im not debating who our starter is. Markstrom has proven that much this season playing behind a sh*t team. My point is, embrace the reality of this team and season, and give demko a sizeable amounts of starts to end the year, let the kids play and make the mistakes, and get a better draft position in the process

I just think it’s stupid to sit your goaltender to play a kid in over his head. I don’t believe in the tank. We will accumulate losses regardless as the team sucks but don’t put kids out there that clearly aren’t ready for this level of comp

I just think it’s stupid to sit your goaltender to play a kid in over his head. I don’t believe in the tank. We will accumulate losses regardless as the team sucks but don’t put kids out there that clearly aren’t ready for this level of comp

to plays devils advocate, he hasn't really seen a ton of games, even since coming back from his injury. As far as him not being ready, he didn't look it last night, but we have such a small sample size from him, hard to tell what you got when he only plays 6 games.
