Missing the playoffs in year 5 of the rebuild. Pretty rough. What is the minimum acceptable result next year? At least a playoff series win? - PLindbergh31
At a certain point we as fans have the expectation of winning a playoff series and i think , without knowing the details of the off season, that is a fair expectation going into next season.
Now if they meet the Caps or Bolts in round 1 and go 7 competitive games I would take that but to not make the playoffs will be a total and abject failure in my opinion. |

I guess it's possible. But I'd think the Flyers would want him in the AHL, and he'd probably like to start earning his pay (although not NHL pay) as early as possible. - jmatchett383
I would think part of him signing his ELC was to start in LHV at worse |

Well Joel.... 28 is taken. What's your second choice?
I'm guessing 15 or 44. |

Update
Farabee was 162 at draft, he has bulked up to 174, according to headline.
My new guess is he comes in at 183. If the kid can play, let him play. |

His two way game is advanced for his age. He’ll do just fine in LHV |

Pretty sure it was deemed unacceptable and the GM and coach were fired.
Also, one cannot anticipate injuries. Most felt Morin was ready last year. Unfortunate he got hurt twice. I personally think its premature to label him a bust. even if he does end up being a bust, the Flyers have done well drafting. that's not the area they deserve criticism. Oh, and all teams end up with busts |

Many teams have young kids that are under 170 and even under 6 ‘ start in the NHL...
Kid has talent let him play in LHV and if he is an upgrade to the NHL roster, let him play.
Of course by signing did he just become a trade chip also ???? |

[quote=wcorvette]They have drafted well but if we’re honest the jury is still out on drafting still. Yes TK and alike look good but no success as a team does take away from the drafting success, I think the grade is an incomplete. I do think they will all grow together and be really good

Nice surprise with Farabee signing today. I figured he'd do one more year of college but was hoping he would sign. Even if he starts with the Phantoms, that's better than another year of college to me. |

Ah, the time of year when the "real" fans will now tell you you have to root for every win.
I don't care where they end up at this point. I want to see a significant meaningful addition to this team this off-season. |

I hope they give him a chance and this doesn't mean he is a trade chip.
This is no different than TK or Provey. They BOTH went back for one more year of Jr's and made the team out of camp the following year. In their case the only option was Jr's or the NHL. Farabee can play in the AHL if he doesn't make the Flyers. Shame Frost couldn't play in the A this year. |

This time of year we usually have a full scouting report for the upcoming draft class, and players we should target based on where we’ll likely draft. You are missed Mono |

He's biding his time. Don't worry, we'll be trading our top assets for quick fixes to save this season any day now. |

This team will always be 2-3 years away, until 2074 when Bettman give flyers a hundred anniversary schedule. 👍🥳 |
