So I looked into it and the LA guy remained suspended as league rules dictate that only straight red card offenses can be reviewed, not yellow cards (that's standard in most leagues).
They did issue a fine to the guy who dove though.
But the league was also apparently not happy with the video
Finally, his name is Chara. So he can go (frank) himself twice as much
It seems as if the pressure of the pro-Toronto media and some of their fair weather fans are finally getting to the Leafs young players. Every time they have a poor game the boo birds come out and constant second guessing of the media makes it hard to play in Toronto. I guess this is what not winning the cup in 52 years does to this organizations reporters and supporters. - islansjet
I don't know about you, but I find it strange that a fan of a team that got relocated to the (frank)ing desert would call another market's fans "fairweather"...
Babcock needs to do that more often. Until last night he went with an odd split where everyone played close to the same amount of minutes following the Gardiner and Dermott injuries. Rielly and Muzzin need to play more last night and clearly be #1 and 2 in usage.

Well that's (frank)ing stupid. That's pretty much just another way of saying that diving pays off.
They should change it to every yellow card assessed from a dive gets rescinded.
I know that it's "hard" to tell some dives apart but the glaringly obvious ones, this should/needs to happen with.

Is the media really "Pro-Leafs"? You can nit-pick one title from one game and spin it that way, but how do you explain the 1000 articles about offersheets and every Leaf player leaving this summer?
There's a lot of crap Leafs have to deal with no other team would.

See that Leafs choked again last night. Not surprised by TSN headlines suggesting there was a "bright side to their loss." Perhaps they meant if you were looking from the Boston side of the light.
Anyway, I like the idea of the Sens putting some structure into their front office. I like the gathering of young players as well as the picks and prospects on the horizon.
I will certainly watch the playoffs this year. There will be teams and players to cheer for and against. My favourite playoff scenario is the Islanders making it through the first round as the Leafs serve up their traditional April pancake. - AdamFrench

Him and Melnyk are hilarious. They give advice on how to rebuild, meanwhile the Sens are 31st overall and have no 1st rounder and may have given up a franchise star they could have built their team around for the next decade + for Matt freaking Duchene.
What hyprcrites.
But we're going to build through the draft. So exciting...

Damn we played a damn good game overall and just didn't get rewarded with a win for the effort. That happens to literally every team. Got to love trying to make it into a giant massive issue or something here.
As for home ice and catching the Bruins that ship sailed during that minor little tailspin there. It's not happening. Now we just play out the string and hope to win as much as we can, and get in a groove. That and avoid any more injuries and get our banged up guys back and healthy!
Think too the panel last night had a good point about going and resting some of our main guys we are going to count on a little once we get down to a few games before the end of the season, make sure they are healthy and rested going into the playoffs too.
Why? 'Cause it pointed out their ineptitude? - GreatGigInTheSky
Pretty much, yeah
The unspoken rule in soccer is that as a player or manager you never publicly criticize the refs. The tweet, while obviously mainly focusing on the guy diving, also shows that the ref done (frank)ed up...

Is it really?
I never would have thought that because after every call players really don't like, 6 of them get right in the refs face, like children.
That's different than calling them out to the media, I know, but still, it's pretty obvious what their thoughts are.

You can accuse Toronto fans of an awful lot of things, but being "fair weather" is not one of them.
FFS, it's been a sharknado for 51 years and they've always sold out the barn.

Sort of what like residing in winnipeg for 52 minutes does to its residents
