I agree, going forward he has to tread carefully. Btw last time the contract negotiations came up the owners remarkably had no money, i expect another flat cap for 3 years

Next negotiations - I expect no change to the 50/50 HHR split - neither side will accept less. Maybe some change to the escrow issues, maybe some split of the Seattle expansion money (probably the last expansion money for a long time).

If so - the cap will go up as HRR goes up - which should lead to small (i.e., not NBA sized increase) increases.

Everyone here wants to dump this guy because he’s the worst defender since Pete Maravich (I know - different sport - work with me on this) -

But the Hawks are going to get a 1st for him.

I don't think that expansion money goes to the NHLPA or influences the cap in any way. It's all split up among the owners only
