Colorado did sit 2 of their best players (due to injury), and they still gained a point on us.

Was at the game. They are a high possession team, but a lot of perimeter play. Don't really have the snipers. D is very solid. Been saying for awhile they could be a tough early matchup.

A lot of teams would have packed it in with the goaltending they had for the first half of the season. Crawford gets few mentions on here but having him in net makes a huge difference.

Yup not putting it all on the Hawks goal tending , lots of bad defence this year, but if the Hawks have a healthy Crawford all year, the Hawks make the playoffs.

2 5-3's were the difference this weekend.

I thought the Hawks controlled the tempo for the most part as well. They dominated the face-off dot and generated 73 shots to the Avs 45. If it wasn't for undisciplined play on Saturday, the Hawks win both games and there's an entirely different outlook to the upcoming week.

I love that they're fighting this thing to the end. It's going to do those young guys a lot of good moving forward. Now let's run the table to finish this playoff chase off!
