I heard he scored, thought Svechnikov got the otgwg?

Yeah, been following their standings too.

That's what I thought too. TVR tied the game with his goal.

defensively they were outstanding...very few giveaways...challenged the puck all game..

however, played 3 bubble teams that aren't much better than them over the last 4 games with 3 at home and get 3 points by the OT route...that is not what one calls playoff worthy encouraging...

- bogiedoc

Playoffs have been a long shot since the start of the season. There is still a lot to like here for the future. A lot of teams would have packed it in with the start they had. This group didn't. As a fan, I appreciate that.

He did, did you watch the 1st and 2nd periods? Sometimes the "parity" is not real. Colorado was handed this game, and they are not good enough to win. They are good enough to tie!
- powerenforcer

No I didn't watch, I was so appalled at continued effort to keep the Hawks down, this poop has been going on since 2009, about the time the Hawks won more Cups than every other team save one. We got so screwed. OR did Bettman just decide to do this a few months ago.

Remaining on the schedule:

@Coyotes
@Sharks
@LA
Jets
Blues
Stars
@Preds

If this team can finish with 88 points, I'll be surprised.

- SecondCitySavage

Meh. None of those teams are world beaters.

So what?

Most of the league are bubble teams.

Coming from doormat last season and first 32 games this season, bubbleteam is a good step up.

- StLBravesFan

oh cmon they were a beaten down doormat team for the 1st half plus of the season

so what?...it means if you are better and competing for the "prize" (a playoff spot) then step up and beat them...

hell their record against the top 6 in each conference is brutal...at least beat your peers when it "matters"

Amen. And a 100 point pace for half a season is also a good sign (for those interested in such things).

Not really

They needed to get more than 3 points over these past 4 games.

They’re too far back with too many teams to pass.

- SimpleJack

Getting to the destination is great but it's even better if you enjoy the journey along the way.

True, but all of those teams with exception of one is in a playoff spot currently or close to getting in. I'm just saying it's going to be a tough road to get to the playoffs. I'll be ecstatic if they can run the table for 90 points. Even if they lose one, it'll be nothing short of amazing.

Agreed.

On the roster the future looks bright with DeBrincat, Strome, Kahun, The Drake, Saad and Sikura. Not all are Superstars but they can contribute to the top 9. Kampf is the foundation of a solid 4th line.

Waiting in the wings Jokiharju should be a solid contributor for many years.

Obviously the Hawks won’t hit with all their defensive prospects but even if 2 of them become top 4 it’s a home run.

Did Kahun get hurt or was he benched? Kampf took all the 3rd line shifts in the 3rd. Not sure I saw Kahun on the ice except maybe 1-2 shifts in the 3rd. Only 10
mins of ice time. Kunitz and Kruger both with 5. Woof. Cagguila back so I don’t have to see Kruger and Kunitz on the ice.

One of the issues to haunt the Hawks the past couple seasons is lack of depth. I think they are on their way to rebuilding the bottom 6.

Kahun, The Drake, Perlini and Kampf are a solid start. I’d still love to see the team and Tanev (Wpg) in the off season. He is one of the Jets top forwards on the PK and set a franchise record for most hits in a season this year. That leaves a spot open for a Rockford hopeful.

A lot of teams would have packed it in with the goaltending they had for the first half of the season. Crawford gets few mentions on here but having him in net makes a huge difference.

He was serious this time.
I think more.than two prospects make nhl blueline crew but maybe only one or two top four. Hard to gauge some of them now due to being lightweights but give them experience, more muscle they might become top 4.

Carlsson maybe a vg. 3rd pair if not second pair ceiling. I would like to hear more about Tuulola.

Don't have to tell me. I have always been a Crow fan. its encouraging to see him playing like this after his last concussion. Think he will back in better form next season after being able to get his work in over the summer instead of recovering from injury.

He got benched. JC went with what he felt was his best 9 forwards for pretty much all of the 3rd period.

Tanev would be fine as a 4th liner. I have seen some at other places touting him to play top 6 or 9. He isn't that. He and Kampf would be a nice start to a line that would drive other teams crazy.

Pilote and Keith have very similar styles. Except Pierre would light your ass up at center ice if you had your head down.

Guess we can hope for teams already in sitting their best to rest them up for the playoffs.
