Colorado is missing 2 of their 3 top scorers, and the Hawks can’t get it done.

How many mediocre performances in must win games will it take until the coach is held accountable?

Took 2.5 years for them to Hold Q accountable. Start with that...

Sikura has 48 SOG. 40 were along the ice into the goalies pads. The other 8 were right in to the center of his crest.

And where’s that ass hat True Grit? Gustafsson, the greatest PP QB in Blackhawk history has led them to 1 out of the last 24. In important games. When it mattered.

Effort and lack of talent on the backend. Very little net front presence. Stagnant pp only looking for the back door one timer.
- bhawks2241

FWIW, Colliton seems more and more bothered with lack of net front and toughness

“The Avalanche took a 3-1 lead early in the third when a long shot by Erik Johnson deflected off Sven Andrighetto at the net. The officials reviewed whether Andrighetto had a high stick, though Crawford contended the puck hit Andrighetto’s hand or arm and might have been a violation.

Colliton was probably more jealous than angry. He has been lamenting the Hawks’ apparent aversion to that type of dirty work the last few days and certainly didn’t see such inclination from them Saturday.

‘‘Tells me we’re not ready to score those goals that are needed at this time of year when it’s almost a playoff game,’’ he vented. ‘‘There’s not a lot of tic-tac-toe, backdoor one-timer things. You’ve got to . . . manufacture offense in different ways. They did it, and we didn’t.’’

When asked whether it’s an unwillingness to fight for those opportunities, he said: ‘‘I’m not sure. Sometimes we do it, but clearly it’s an area we’ve got to get better in.’’

Somebody send this guy a pick me up bouquet...maybe a box of chocolates...

You must be wearing out the phone number to the black hawks front office or your therapist....

Thought you said Kane was the QB? My guy has been scoring 5 on 5...Kaner..struggling right now.

I will let you get back to your Joki jerk fest....

Get that class action lawsuit going against the Hawk management for saying they believe the team will make the playoffs....that one could be a big winner for you.

Your obsession with Sikura is a little weird. Did he rebuff an autograph request or something?

Oh you speak so smart when you are upset
Justifiably upset with a team that couldn't expect to win with its current system and all too often apathetic performance from veterans, some of them your best talented guys.

Gus actually had an all around good game. Do not blame the pp failure on him. Look lots of things need changing. I suspect Colliton has a different team and demands accountability. If not then both him and Bowman will look foolish. So too Rocky if he has a blind eye.

Seems like anything short of winning every game is a problem here.

The NHL is a tough league. The hawks are not getting blown out, just not winning the little battles that you need to win.

The reluctance to dump and chase from time to time. The lack of compete on wall. Does not pass eye test. That is not about talent or skill, it is about work and desire.

Strome and Debrincat need to be better in their own end. The team needs to stop (frank)ing around near opponents blue line.

The Hawks are not much different than Dallas, Colorado or Minnesota.

hawks picked a poopty time to lose what was their strength: scoring goals..

ADB can't get a shot let alone a goal; kane is in the freezer as is strome and goal tending is biting their ass

Ain't that the truth! It was the only way they could make the playoffs. Was hoping they could keep up the pace. Can only hope they find that scoring mojo again soon....

I respectfully disagree. http://www.tankathon.com/nhl

Just cut the cord already. This past season has been more entertaining than the previous two combined, and I'm grateful for that. Young players are developing chemistry and building confidence that will carry into next season.

From here on out, I just want to see the team play loose, have fun and lose every game by the score of 7 to 6, or something close to that.

He is actually "not sure" about net front presence and why they do only occasionally? I can help Jeremy out with the answer - far too many small forwards who don't like dealing with big nasty defenceman like Erik Johnson and Zadorov.

Jeremy what you have is a forward group that is mainly too small and a defence group that isn't very mean. So teams take advantage because the Hawks are so easy to play against. And then you have forwards who prefer tic tac toe and making pretty passing plays like Saad.

Q talked about this often...the hawks only have two guys that are willing to do this: arte and toews and they aren't very good at tips...

they would have liked hayden to develop into this type of player but he is as good as gone

before shaw was traded Q said: "irreplaceable" kind of player.

yep prophetic they have not replaced ole "shinpads"...all 182 lbs 5 ft 10 in of him..

I don't think it is a situation of having a book on him. That could have a small part to do with his recent travails. I bet the issue is his technique/style needs to be fixed since his performance in Chicago too was criticized. In fact after that hot NHL start the signs were there that his game was off kilter.
