They have to stay ahead of the Habs because the way it’s going now the wild card spots will pass them in Points.

I'm sad that the guy named after flavoured tobacco has gone.
We need our tough guys around here.
If not, how will my allegedly fat wife feel safe...? |

Dubas didn't hire Babcock so their relationship will always be one of compromise.
That being said, a lot of Cup winning teams have fired their coaches relatively before they won the Cup.
Going back to Anaheim, even Babcock himself was fired and Carlyle took over to win the Cup. As did Detroit when they hired Babcock after they fired Dave Lewis.
Pittsburgh fired Therrien and replaced him with Bylsma, won a Cup, fired Bylsma and won two Cups with Mike Sullivan (after Johnston). Won Cups in the same season they replaced the coach.
Chicago fired Savard and replaced him with Quenneville, won a Cup a year later, two more after that.
Los Angeles fired Murray and replaced him with Sutter, won two Cups, the first in the season he was hired.
In many of these cases, the (young) core players were mostly the same but the coaching change seems to have a role to play in putting the team over the top. I'm not saying they'll win a Cup just because they fire and replace Babcock. I'm just saying it seems like a pattern that's worked before and maybe Babcock's style was good to get this young team on the right track and maybe it's time for somebody else to finish the job.
Some people have compared the Leafs to the Blackhawks. If that's true, the Leafs certainly have the money and the opportunity to fire (and pay) Babcock and hire Quenneville, who is available and probably looking for a new job. - JohnFergusonJr

I don’t think the Leafs will win more than two more games the rest of this season. - LeafMan
It was a great hockey game tonight. Leafs arguably took it to them and deserved a better outcome.
Yeah, they lost, but they played very well. Considering how games have gone lately, that's a pretty big improvement.
Before, they were winning games they shouldn't've. Now they've lost a game they probably shouldn't've. poops 'bout to turn around for them. |

Personally, I (frank)ing hate the power play plan now.
Have the first unit out for 40ish seconds, the second for 40ish seconds, and then the first again to finish it off.
First unit should be out for over a minute every time. |

What's most surprising to me is that both males were actually still able to successfully have children at such advanced ages. I honestly didn't think geese and swans live that long. Most around our house get eaten by some bumhole coyote or raccoon before they get that old I guess, lol. Goose lived until like 40!
Pretty crazy the goose helped the two swans raise young for six years too. |

they usually are out there for 60-75 secs...
today the PP1 unit played 3:41-3:58
PP2 played 1:47-2:17
that's actually a bigger difference between the 2 units than what you're suggesting |

Are you referring to geese and swans, or bisexuals?
Ah damn. Just saw the bolded part, which makes it clear you're referring to coyotes and raccoons, which ruins my joke. |

Should go long 1st then 2nd. |
