That's great. Wow, I hate that guy..........but would love him on the Isles.

Not sure I'd qualify any of Leddy's limp-wristed glorified dump-ins to the goaltenders chest as "a cannon"

Organizationally-speaking, however, it does make Leddy incrementally more expendable. I think he's a goner this offseason and, honestly, I encourage it. He's got grade-A wheels and grade-F hockey IQ.

Nick Leddy and Ryan Pulock's love child?

If absolutely nothing else, signing Hutton allows Lou to trade someone like Parker Wotherspoon, who is also a RHD. Bridgeport currently has Wotherspoon, Casto, Rathgeb, and Burroughs down the right side. Casto and Burroughs are minor-league-lifers. Rathgeb is interesting but probably won't amount to much.

Maybe Leddy and Wotherspoon for Nuge

Coming in the off-season.

You figure Isles should have a few dmen to trade for help at forward. Bridge probably has some dmen that will be blocked from playing for the Isles.

Isles do have some good trade options. I'm wondering if Soderstrom comes over next year to play goal in Bridge?

Not that I'd turn any away, but no undrafted UFA they sign is going to matter for this year. They have time to do that.
- eichiefs9

True. Moves at forward should really keep Lou busy this offseason.

Soderstrom is back in Sweden and has not played hockey at all this year. Nobody knows what's going on with him.

As far as I'm concerned he's not an option going forward. I hope he is, but not playing hockey for an entire year probably isn't great for his development.

That's lousy. Skarek will hopefully be an option and probably has a better shot than Soderstrom.

Skarek has had an absolutely putrid second-half to the season after playing outstanding in the first half.

It'd be nice to see him over in NA next year, regardless

Hard to believe Garth even drafted Sorokin.

Hopefully he bounces back. Isles are long overdue in hitting on a goalie prospect. Sorokin would sure help.

He was so boom-or-bust in the draft. He either made a pick that ultimately made him look really smart or he picked absolute useless trash. Lee is probably his late-round shining star. But then he goes and pisses away top-5 picks on MDC/Reinhart/etc...

He's young, I'm not worried. But it's a big step back from the first half of his season.

Goalies really seem tough to draft but you figure Garth being a goalie would help a little? Lot of teams seem to focus on speed and skill and Garth focused on players that could stay in line.

Meh, I don't think Snow being a goalie matters either way. Gretzky is the greatest player of all time and couldn't coach to save his life. Barry Trotz never played outside of the WHL and is one of the better coaches in the history of the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Goalies are a total roll of the dice. Which is why taking a goaltender in the first round is absolutely stupid unless he's some sort of generational talent that everyone is positive will be a star.

This will not surprise you: No lineup reveals from #Isles coach Barry Trotz. Jordan Eberle (upper body) will take warmups and is a game-time decision. To me, looks like Thomas Greiss in net.

Just wait until my suggestion of taking Callahan if they send Cirelli comes true.

That seems like a rather plausible scenario. Hopefully Lou is as creative.

Teams have done fine drafting goalies in later rounds. I think most teams will stay away from using a number 1 on a goalie.
