Competitive logging I would absolutely argue is. The lumberjack world championship is a thing. No different from competitive lifting.

Depends on how you hunt. I think hunting in the traditional sense of tracking prey qualifies. Involves physical exertion (hiking) and competition (man vs beast).

I can assure you that no 'hunters' do real tracking anymore. They have trackers with then that do it for them. But you have hiking.

What about the months of planning that lead up to sitting in a tree stand? Hiking around the woods, finding deer trails and markings and scrapes and rubs, the hours spent at the archery/rifle range practicing your shooting, dragging your kill out of the woods, etc?

What about the months of planning that lead up to sitting in a tree stand? Hiking around the woods, finding deer trails and markings and scrapes and rubs, the hours spent at the archery/rifle range practicing your shooting, dragging your kill out of the woods, etc?

Setting up a trail can. Stop pretending people hike each day to keep track of spots. That isnt modern hunting.

Hours spent at an archery range? Yep, and 10 minutes is practice, the rest is bullpoopting with other guys there.

Dragging a gutted kill? So... not lifting, no time limit except daylight... super tough.
