Any Flyer in the lineup can easily separate the puck away from Weal when it is on his stick. His only chance to score will be if he gets a clean break away. - RustyPipes
The last time that we traded a player and he scored a goal in his first game against us was, I think JvR (maybe he did, I can't remember). I don't think that Schenn, Hartnell, Carter, Richards, Gagne, etc. did it.
But yeah, always happens. |

What's wrong with hoping our in-house prior first round pick in Morin is better than Hagg? Wouldn't that be a good thing if he is? Hagg is a fine 5-6 but i just hope Morin pushes him out, his game is limited. - ClaudeFather
Hägg is 24. Morin will be 24 this summer. If they both work out, then we don’t keep Gudas. We frankly can’t afford to go softer at D. I don’t want to trade either Hägg or Morin. We’ll see.

I have a sinking feeling that Jordan Weal gets at least one goal tonight. Always happens to us. - cdearth23
Ultimately, that may or may not happen, but I think Jordan Weal has little reason to be upset with Philadelphia. He got a contract out of Ron Hextall that he didn't live up to. I'm not interested in any sort "I'll show them" from Weal.
The bigger "WTF" would be if Dale Weise scored one, but I think he's in the Habs' version of the Cote suite. |

I'd rather have skill than physicality. Pittsburgh and Washington have won the last 3 Cups, and the toughest defenseman they had among those 3 squads was an over-the-hill, seldom-used Brooks Orpik. |

I don't know. If I were to choose the players I'd like to suit up the best team that I can. I believe that Gudas is better than Hagg regardless of the salary. |

I agree in a vacuum, but you have to consider age and salary, too. |

Exactly, Gudas is better than Hagg and I'm hoping Morin is as well. As should everyone else. |

Gudas is not that old either. Salary affects things but its not like hes commanding too much. Thats a debate for a couple years down the road though. |

I hope that every one of our d prospects is better than Provorov. I mean that. I don't necessarily expect it, but it's what I hope for. |

It's realistic that Morin can be better than Hagg, all 5 better than Provorov..... |

4 years and $2M isn't a deal breaker, but it's not nothing, either. |

But does it really matter.Play-off is gone so it really does not matter who scores for Montreal.Even a 9-0-1 run would total only 97 point's
Florida Panthers missed play-off with 97 last year |

Oh yes I hope that is the case as well. If you look at the pipeline, we (the Flyers I mean. I never suited up for them) have some really good propects in Juniors and the European leagues in various positions that have some really good potential. Funny thing about prospects though, they may appear like supermen in other leagues and then fizzle out, but there are those who are overlooked that get a chance and become much better than realized. |

By the way
Yegor Zamula now has 10 goals and 56 points in 61 WHL games this year. Last year, he had 2 goals and 18 points in 69 WHL games.
For reference, Myers went from 2 goals and 8 points in 60 games to 17 goals and 45 points in 63 games when the Flyers signed him. |

It will all be moot anyway when we lose Hagg to Seattle in the expansion draft. |

With all of the players that the Flyers will expose do you really think that Seattle will choose Hagg? I don't know - unless there is a deal agreed upon before hand I believe that there will be other Flyers of more skill available other than Hagg. |

Off topic. Forget about Mike Trout in Philly. He is signing a monster deal with the Angels - DaveofYork

Why are you done with Hägg? I’ve noticed mistakes in Hagg’s game lately but for her most part Hägg is having a steady season. He’s a plus play this year and last year, one of our more physical players and isn’t a regular in the box. - SuperSchennBros
He makes some pretty glaring errors, but I've got no issue with him as 6D. Even if Sammy winds up being a bust we still drafted and developed 5 of our top 6 dmen, that's a huge win, especially compared to what we were working with for the few years after prongs went down. |

I'm not sure about first game, but it seems like we always get burned. It's either a player mired in a long goal drought or an ex Flyer that burns us. |

Flyers win.
Pittsburgh beats Carolina
Calgary beats Columbus
4 points out.
I want playoff hockey and will not throw in the towel yet. - J35Bacher
Thanks for that ear worm, you sick bastard.
Tonight's the night, let's live it up
I got my money, let's spend it up
Go out and smash it like oh my God
Jump off that sofa, let's get, get off |
