He was also coming in to a new system and new team while they were fighting for their playoff lives. |

Same, only 10 games left this year, I wanna enjoy them. Plus it's great to see the young guys having a coming out party. Hopefully the slow starts to the season they had this year doesn't carry over to next October. - Girouxsalem90
Its only been happening for the last 5 years. No reason to believe anything else will happen until the Core is changed. |

I am allowing myself to enjoy this run and keeping my hopes alive.
I know the reality of making the playoffs is slim, but I also hope that this carries over in to next season as more of the youth movement starts to make its presence felt. - MBFlyerfan
The games won’t remain interesting if you don’t keep this positive mindset. |

I'm hoping for a healthy summer for the kid and hopefully he makes the team next fall because I'm about done with Hagg. - ClaudeFather
First, what is your problem with Hagg. He is a very effective and impactful 6th d-man.
Second, the problem with waiting till the summer is, you don't know if Sam can play NHL hockey, so you can't count on him as a roster player.... Which means once again he will have to beat out a veteran, and this time its not going to be MacDonald... He will have to outplay Gudas or Hagg. |

We have seen different coaches and different GM's with the same results. |

Why are you done with Hägg? I’ve noticed mistakes in Hagg’s game lately but for her most part Hägg is having a steady season. He’s a plus play this year and last year, one of our more physical players and isn’t a regular in the box. |

That would hold true if they were going to use a former GM and coach. |

First, he has a very low hockey IQ and constantly does not have his head up ice. I love his battle though he is a competitor.
Second, I never said he would make the team, I said I hope he'd make the team and if he does (as well as Meyers) Hagg is the 7. |

My only issue with Hagg is his passing, which is by far the worst on the defense (including AMac and Gudas) and his foot speed. But for a 6th, we could do much worse. |

I don't quite agree with this part. He will be on a level ice surface coming in to camp against players in the same boat. Not against players who are 70 games in to an NHL season.
We all know that regardless of whether he gets in to a few games now or if it happens next season he was going to have to beat out one of Gudas, Amac or Hagg.

Which is a huge detriment in today's game when you need to get the puck up ice as quick as possible. He's not a bad player, just hoping Morin can bring more to the table. |

Once again, nice scheduling! Facing the team standing in our way, in desperate need to build on the confidence gained from the come-from-behind defeat of the Penguins and start a big-time win streak.
One game vs. Montreal. Just win this game.
Let’s go Flyers!

1. I don't understand people being unhappy with Hagg this season. In what his second full season in the NHL he has been more then acceptable for a 5-6 dman and on a marshmallow soft team he plays with a little snarl.
2. I really don't understand Pixel complaining that the players are trying to play through the flu as they are still in the playoff hunt. |

They'll all be on equal footing having the summer off and having training camp/preseason to compete for jobs. I don't think playing 5-7 games this season would give him any kind of mental edge, he'll have to earn it based on his play next summer. |

I have a sinking feeling that Jordan Weal gets at least one goal tonight. Always happens to us. |

What's wrong with hoping our in-house prior first round pick in Morin is better than Hagg? Wouldn't that be a good thing if he is? Hagg is a fine 5-6 but i just hope Morin pushes him out, his game is limited. |

Any Flyer in the lineup can easily separate the puck away from Weal when it is on his stick. His only chance to score will be if he gets a clean break away. |
