I don't even know where to start with this, other than maybe giving Elliot so many starts was a way not to lose the lockerroom? Elliot seems a popular player, so giving Elliot starts seemed a way to keep the lockerroom engaged.

How so? They fired Hexy, Hack, Murphy and Pryor.
Traded some dead wood, got kids in for major rolls, showed us how good Hart is and are really set up well moving forward. Have kids playing, an influx of more kids for next year into at least the A. Kids in college playing well, bunches of picks this year and money under the cap. Plus Fletcher didn't make poop trades trying to make the playoffs. Looking forward to next year and I still hope to see Sammy the giant this year. Perhaps Saturday?

MacDonald blocked the original shot after the turnover by Lindblom. Unfortunately he also couldn't cover Gallagher who was left all alone in the slot by Giroux.
