Maybe find a way to keep Rick Wilson around. Maybe.
Otherwise, I want a new coaching staff in here. |

Quenneville already announced he's returning to the bench next year. What teams will the Flyers have to compete against for his services? |

Piss poor effort by the Flyers and there went the slim playoff hope! Terrible start, bad coaching and shameful officiating. That’s all.

He's also kind of a poopty human being by all accounts. - johndewar
You can tell just by listening to him.

Poor lethargic start....and a bad performance in the offensive zone all night. Bad passes, ill advised plays when a simple one is there....passed up shot attempts....just a bad game....they don’t deserve to make the playoffs. |

They dug too big of a hole. I believe on Christmas they were last in the NHL. Hextall's blind loyalty to Hakstol cost them them a chance at a playoff spot, as well as costing himself his job, |

I thought the younger players might get something out of the playoff exposure, but oh well. - johndewar
I get that, but there could be an adverse effect and it can crush you if they were to get swept.
Regardless, it's over and time to focus on 19-20. |

I noticed that the other day.
People in charge of local media (radio or TV) have a bizarre fascination with Mike Missanelli and it is something I will never, ever understand. He's not interesting, knowledgeable, or entertaining in any way. - johndewar
He’s bombastic and opinionated...that’s all it seems one needs to have a job in sports talk radio these days. |

The good thing is, Hart looks to have the pedigree of a franchise goaltender. That has been the biggest piece that has been lacking. A competent GM should be able to put a team around him that can contend. Some of the pieces are already in place. |

Didn’t like Gordon playing the 4th late in the game, poor Hartman stuck on that line. Who knows the flu is probably running through them and maybe Gordon didn’t have a choice. |

Was there a team in the NHL going into the season with less expectations than the Carolina Hurricanes? Unreal what they are doing.
Backstopped to the playoffs by Petr Mrazek. |

They lost pajama boy, but when they hired Trotz and Lamoriello that gave them instant credibility. |

Agree on Lou and Trotz. Pretty sure not to many expected them to be battling for first in the division though. I am not dismissing what the Hurricanes are doing either. |

I agree with you. Just shows how coaching goes a long way. Lose their best player, and improve significantly. How else can this be explained other than having a top tier coach. |
