I said Sh!tnik because he's like a sh!ttier Zhitnik.
I loved Zhitnik. Tage? I'll admit, I was very wrong on him. He got worse as the season wore on. The breaking point was that absolutely moronic spin-o-rama AWAY from the wide-open slot he had the puck in. It was quite possibly the stupidest play I have ever seen a player make.
Patrick Stepan at least just whiffed on that empty-netter. Tage is stupider than Forest Gump. |

Here’s something kind of crazy.
The year we started the tank or rebuild in 2014-15, we had the worst forward group by far in the league. Since then this is what we’ve invested in our forward core.
2nd overall pick 2014 - Reinhart
Myers- Armia - 1st rounder 2015, Stafford - 31st pick 2014 for Kane
2nd overall pick 2015 - Eichel
31st overall - JT Compher - Zadorov for O’Reilly
8th overall 2016 - Nylander
8th overall 2017 - Mittelstadt
2nd rounders - 3rd - Cliff Pu- for Skinner
Fast forward 4 years and we’ve invested 15 !! Assets (not including other draft picks we actually used on forwards) and we still possibly have a bottom 2-3 forward core.

As much as u rail against them,
our forward core would be a lot stronger with Kane & ROR
It would at least be middle of the road
But all we did was replace their scoring
We didn’t ADD to it
Hopefully this offseason Botts can get us a couple more legit forwards
And if Mitts & Tage take a step forward,
then we’ll be in ok shape
And I’d a couple of the kids can come up & score...
then we’ll be in good shape |
