Feanor is a jerk. MJL can be a jerk. You guys just like one guy and don’t like the other. Own that and don’t hide behind crap you made up in your heads. - SuperSchennBros
not sure if I am in (you guys) but I don't mind either of them.
True, I have had my lengthy exchanges with MJL but I have not with Feanor, I really don't have a reason to dislike or like him. I don't dislike MJL. I don't communicate the way they do, to each his or her own. |

I actually don't like either of them all that much, definitely a bigger fan of Feanor.
But again, when Feanor comes and stirs the pot, he doesn't play the victim, he owns it. That's my issue. - jmatchett383
I think Feanor is an embarrassment. He posted something stupid first and left himself open to judgement, which is what MJL did. Two wrongs don’t make a right but the pot stirring is on Feanor.
Owning being a miserable jerk isn’t respectable. The whole page doesn’t gang up and turn on Feanor on a daily basis. At least MJL will stand up for someone, take a side, when things get out of control on here.
I’m just gonna leave it at this because tomorrow will bring the same foolishness. You guys don’t like MJL, so you’ll find another way to voice this. |

Just brought that up because people think his points now are some sort of miracle. He has always scored. Hard to put up good offensive numbers when on a line with two defensive guys and checking the other teams top line to death. He logs more minutes than the rest of the forwards. He's a beast. - jaws1955
He's always scored solid ES totals previously. He was just always measured up against players playing in different situations. There is no doubt though that he has gotten much better offensively the last two seasons and it's obvious that he is a very confident player offensively now. Beast is the correct adjective. |

Agreed-
question for the group
How much longer with G and Jake perform at this level? I would say they are elite right now, not superstars but elite.
How long can JVR continue?
side note, JVR instead of a long term deal with Simmer is looking like a great move by Hexy. Jvr has better hands, better shot and is a better passer. That said, hope Simmer has a big bounce back season... - wcorvette
If the Flyers wish to be legit both are going to have to be in 85+ point total. Probably one flirting with 95+ if they really want to be up in the standings.
JvR just needs to keep playing his game. The goals will come. No reason he can't be 25-28 every year. Plus if the PP gets going he's a shoe in for 30+. |

Lol Coots is an awesome player and his offense has come a long way but please stop bringing up his Junior career. There have been plentry of guys who put together great Junior careers and have amounted ot nothing. - ClaudeFather
Sure, I saw this as a reference to how Coots was used almost exclusively in a defensive role but had more ability offensively that went untapped until last season. It is a good thing to remember when thinking about our young developing players. Not everyone’s skill set translates, of course, but offensive potential was usually in their past if it shows in the present. It would be rare to see a ppg NHL player who showed no sign of offensive ability in the lower levels. |

I think for 3 maybe 4seasons. Neither has a knack for getting seriously hurt.
Window can be open earlier than expected if they have a decent summer and the Flyers play they way they are capable of playing. Knowing what we know from Hart, Sanheim and Meyers will help big time in October. It's also about no one regressing or off to a rough start like Provorov.
I admit I was on the blow it up now mindset around December, but there really are only a few subtle moves and maybe 1 or 2 big moves, coach being one, that this team needs to make. |

He's always produced at even strength but there is certainly a new sense of confidence this season and last. I remember prior to last year he would have high danger chances and just couldn't seem to finish, now is a different story. Matt Reads PK partner to number one Center |

I've liked him since day one. He came out of his first camp with Chief calling him the best defensive player on the team. He has improved his scoring each year. Has always been great 5v5. His shot off the rush is better than I realised. But he is successful because he is ALWAYS around the net. He is an under rated passer. In fact he is an under rated player. I understand that around the league but on here we a allegedly Flyers fans that should know better and yet don't.
Now here come the slings. I think that not only is he the best center on the team but also the player that we can least afford to lose for an extended period of time.

When Jake and G slow down you would expect the younger kids to start to seriously step up as well. Not like those guys are gonna go from PPG to 30 points a year either. |

I don't comment much but I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in on the debate about who's a jerk, and who isn't from my limited experience:
Feanor: Kind of a jerk
MJL: Can see why people don't like him, but it seems like he just trolls, and does know his hockey
SuperSchennBros: Whiny
Glak18: Obnoxious Richard

I maybe wrong, but as I was partaking in some Green Spot last night I thought that I saw an amazing effort by Provy saving a break-a-way with a diving effort thus preventing an empty net goal. I'm surprised that no one on this site has mentioned that today. |

That was a great play, Bjustad kind of whiffed on it, but would've been a slam dunk if Provy didn't put that much pressure on him. |

When do you see the window of contention opening? - NC Flyers Fan
answered a question with a question, I like that...
I'll preface my answer with the following...
They Flyers make a trade or sign 1-2 FA's to fill holes they have, Frost and one other young player makes the jump next season to the NHL.
They contend the year after, once current kids get a year older and Frost and ? have a season under their belts |

I missed that. I always record the games and then watch later and zoom through commercials. I'm lucky I didn't pass out during the game. |
