There is zero issue with how the question was formed. - MJL
Just admit you took a swipe and move on. Why play innocent?

I think he can be a 4C or 3C (ceiling) down the line. He’s still very young and has a good hockey IQ, you saw some of this in preseason when he made the team. Idk if it was confidence or just adjusting to the NHL tempo/speed, but he seemed overwhelmed while he was up here and didn’t seem as engaged in the game as he could have been. - arichardson22
If I back read correctly and you’re talking about Vorobyev, I agree. He is young with room to grow. I see him as a 3C type. He has elite passing ability but his motivation was not consistent. He could be the perfect playmaker for guys like Allison or Farabee.

LOL. I didn't take a swipe. I want to know what his thoughts are on it. He offered frequent criticism of past coaches for the same situations. My question was a legitimate question. |

I don't know about 3C but hopefully it's just a question of maturity. The 4th line center spot is wide open just waiting for someone to seize it. |

Can't wait for the annual Summer debate of whether Couturier is a legitimate number one center. He's no Kopitar, after all. More of a Primeau, but not good on faceoffs. - Feanor

Yes, the great thing about the foreseeable future is that our 4th line (starting next year) will be at a good 3rd line skill level. We will be deep. |

My fellow snowflakes, I believe we need 6 out of 6 points this week (3 regulation wins) before I will admit we are back in it. Tough hole to climb out of and only Montreal seems to be sliding. If we don;t take care of them Tuesday, then it's all moot.
In Hart we trust... He will have his ups and downs but he is our guy. We need to embrace it. |

Yes, yes, I’m booing Montreal, Columbus and Carolina for the rest of the season, true.
Hart is the guy! |

To be honest, I just don’t understand this viewpoint. Just because Coots is elite defensively doesn’t mean he doesn’t have offensive skills. No, he isn’t elite offensively but he is very good. I would guess his production, from this season plus last year where he has been used as a 1C or 2C, is better than at least 1/3 of team’s top centers. As a 2C, he may be towards the top the list for league wide second line centers. Not very many teams have 2 centers better than him. I’m not sure if that is what you’re getting at.
He is underrated in my opinion. He is better than folks seem to think. |

His last two years in Jr's he out up back to back 96 point seasons. Had mono his draft year and did it in 10 games less. He has been slotted in a defensive role, through no fault of his own.
Every player that plays on a line with him plays better. They some how seem to get more points when with Coots. Back to back 30 goal, 70 plus point seasons. What else does he have to do. |

Lol Coots is an awesome player and his offense has come a long way but please stop bringing up his Junior career. There have been plentry of guys who put together great Junior careers and have amounted ot nothing. |

Couturier is not only a 1C, he is a borderline elite 1C.
He is going on back to back 30+ goal seasons while being a Selke level defensive forward.
The debate is over. He has proven himself.

Couturier is one of the best 2 way forwards in the entire NHL. |

How the hell does two wrongs make a right? I hope you do not have children and yes, this is me taking a swipe at you.
Feanor owns that he’s a jerk, so it’s fine. What a meat headed comment. |

not specific to this exchange but...
2 wrongs don't make a right, that is part one, then there is owning your mistakes, the second part is more important than the first, in my opinion... |

If I intentionally crack a 2 x 4 over a guy’s head simply because 1. I didn’t like the guy and 2. I wanted to, Is that somehow respectable?

No, but I would hope you wouldn't act like you were the victim and didn't do anything wrong, either.
I refuse to actually read anything MJL writes in reply to what I post, but I'm assuming all he's done is to say he did nothing wrong and it was a totally legit question when he knew exactly what he was trying to do to Feanor. |

Just brought that up because people think his points now are some sort of miracle. He has always scored. Hard to put up good offensive numbers when on a line with two defensive guys and checking the other teams top line to death. He logs more minutes than the rest of the forwards. He's a beast. |

I actually don't like either of them all that much, definitely a bigger fan of Feanor.
But again, when Feanor comes and stirs the pot, he doesn't play the victim, he owns it. That's my issue. |
