nothing wrong with the question, it could be a little passive/aggressive with how you asked.

What, you mean how my 5-year-old daughter realizes that there is a nice way and not so nice way to ask the same question?

I'm hoping that the organization can work with him on addressing certain issues this summer and that he can come back better prepared. He's still only 22. That said, he could be another Mika Pyorala type, but we'll see. For right now, he's just a call up guy.

I'd like to see the Flyers target Tomas Hyka this offseason to finally realize Hykamania.

i think he came prepared just not sure the talent level/skill is there for nhl duty full time.

There is zero issue with how the question was formed.

"What are your thoughts on the icetime doled out to young players like Konecny and Sanheim overall and certain parts of the game. Konecny hardly played in the 3rd period down a goal. Haag played more than Sanheim in the 3rd. Myers played 12 minutes in the game. Bad coaching? "

You've made something out of nothing with multiple posts unrelated to hockey talk that is now going on for multiple pages.

Maybe not. But if he can work on some things (say, skating and faceoffs) he may be a good 4C/PK player. Maybe not anything special but a useful player.

In the early part of the year G (less than the others), Jake, Coots and JVR were all struggling at the same time.

Now all 4 are carrying this team.

JVR is actually having a great year from a goal scoring perspective when you look at how many games he missed.

Coots is going to break 30 goals again, leads the team in goals and will most likely finish as a PPG player while on top of that he is still a +14.

Giroux is once again having a really solid year 76 points in 72 games and is a +18. Back to back seasons of more then a PPG deserves serious credit.

Jake has an outside chance at finishing as a PPG player.

It's impressive to see those 4 all hot at the same time.

Agreed-

question for the group

How much longer with G and Jake perform at this level? I would say they are elite right now, not superstars but elite.

How long can JVR continue?

side note, JVR instead of a long term deal with Simmer is looking like a great move by Hexy. Jvr has better hands, better shot and is a better passer. That said, hope Simmer has a big bounce back season...

Don't know if this was already posted, but here's a shortie by Farabee

https://twitter.com/Terri...tatus/1107078193679237120

Not sure why a shorthanded goal is a "pick 6" since it's not worth 6 points like in football, but nice read and finish.

Lots of positives with the team. They just need to keep building and add some consistency.

Sanheim looked pretty gassed, to me, after the 2nd period. He's seen a lot of ice time since being paired with Provy and the Flyers have been pushing pretty hard since Gordon took over. I wouldn't read much into it. I'm not a numbers guy and have no interest in looking up ice times of players, but it does seem that Konecny is not getting much ice time lately. I thought he looked real good with Giroux in OT and was yelling for him to be out there instead of Couturier in that last shift. I guess Gordon knew what he was doing.

My opinion, TK was sat, we don't know all the details, could be just his play or something more with Gordon. I have no issue sending a message and yes vets should get a little longer leash. in my opinion Sanheim was not sat, he actually joked with Pierre Mcguire saying they need oxygen or something like that on the bench, he and Provy had real good games.

Yes, but those figures don't help to passively aggressively imply that the Flyers coach didn't deploy his players properly, so why do they matter?
- jmatchett383

When I originally reacted to your first post, I thought you were speaking of Feanor. MJL normally comes to the defense of the coaching staff.

I think he can be a 4C or 3C (ceiling) down the line. He’s still very young and has a good hockey IQ, you saw some of this in preseason when he made the team. Idk if it was confidence or just adjusting to the NHL tempo/speed, but he seemed overwhelmed while he was up here and didn’t seem as engaged in the game as he could have been.

So you have no problem with Feanor coming on here and passive aggressively posting his Couturier post, as if he’s all knowing? As if anyone who ever compared Couturier to Keith Primeau is a moron?

I think you’re targeting the wrong person.

No, I don't like when anyone does it.

I do, however, like the fact that Feanor et. al. don't play the victim, though.

Based on the very fact that you yourself just admitted makes it a legitimate question to ask. Ironic that you've made how many posts now unrelated to legitimate conversation and accusing others of being passive/aggressive.
