Leivo i like, Pearson, too early to tell. Sven, move him. - VanHockeyGuy
Pearson has had a bad year and will probably be here next year which is fine. I don't know if he will be long term. As you said wait and see. |

Here is a scouting report on Seider
Huge German defender with a strong two way game and a willingness to take the body whenever the opportunity occurs. Will get stronger and is still growing into his frame. Cemented his status as a possible first rounder after his performance in the B-pool of the World Junior U-20. A defender who can play big minutes shoulder the responsibilities in all phases, due to his maturity. Displays a strong under control game with strong hockey smarts. Not a burner or offenseman type, but makes the transition outlet pass and is comfortable carrying the mail out of his end. Has a strong accurate shot.
At this juncture, he might not look like a first pair NHL defender offensively or a first pair PP QB, but there is plenty here to like, and good be a value sleeper taken mid-first round
--Bill Placzek-- - VANTEL
Vanhockeyguy. I was just saying there are other reports that say the opposite. Here is one. Hard to tell when it’s the german league. Think id want one of the ten guys ranked higher than him, seems like a reach |

Yup it is all about opinion on here. Others want to fix the scoring , I want to fix the back end . They both need fixing. IMO the back end is the hardest to fix and the most costliest in trade and Free Agency and that is why I want to draft the best D available .
Looking at Fabbro who was drafted 17 th, Nashville are asking for a first round pick in a trade. - VANTEL
Asking and getting. I hope VAN picks him up at the draft. If there's picks involved, they'd be in 2020 and hopefully not a first. |

Of course. You never know what can happen at the draft, say for example if VAN scouts liked him JB finds a way to pick him, or someone else they target by moving up or down. Not easy to do, seems to work better in the NFL. |

Maybe a cap dump? Poile will fleece JB, of that we can be sure. |

Jb seems to know what he is doing and has his staff in place to make the draft work every year. It’s the one thing I’m 100% confident in him doing and the only reason to keep him around. It is a good reason though imo. |

To be fair, Poile seems to be on the winning end of most trades. I wouldnt hate someone who came up in the Nashville system being an exec in van |

Just because you have a higher ranking does not make you a NHL player .
Fabbro was picked 17 th , here are some players ranked higher that have not yet proven to be NHL players.
Jesse Puljujarvi
Olli Juolevi
Alex Nylander
Logan Brown
Michael McLeod
Jake Bean
Luke Kunin
Havening a higher ranking doesn't mean a sure fired NHL career

Green has tough words on Goldy
- VANTEL
He’s spot on, but if he plays Schaller again then he’s a hypocrite. Schaller brings nothing, at least Goldy might give you a nice offensive play or 2. Schaller sucks in all 3 zones.
Time to move on from guys like Goldy, Granlund, Schaller, Eriksson as NHL’ers.
I’d keep Goldy/Granlund as AHL vets and call-up players but that’s about it.
Hopefully fans have learned that “depth” really isn’t valuable when it’s just a bunch of fringe players. People were worried this pre-season that there weren’t enough roster spots and now Green is trying to figure out who sucks the least.
The early signs were there too, I remember a few of us were disappointed during the pre-season when none of the bubble players outside of Motte actually played decently during pre-season games.
This team is still full of scraps and injury prone players. |

Yeah, see my edit.
The only players on this team I like up front are EP, Boeser, Horvat, Roussel, Virtanen, Gaudette and Leivo.
Motte is OK too. Pearson is TBD.
That leaves:
Eriksson
Sutter
Beagle
Baertschi
Goldobin
Schaller
Granlund |

Agreed, but how exactly does the team move on from Eriksson? Dude’s superglued to the Canaucks. |

Send him to Utica, who in turn demote him to Kalamazoo.
This might be the only option, as it saves million in capspace, which is more than a buyout.
What a bad contract and bad hockey player. |

I would tell ZackMac Dude if you want to be a regular NHL player you need to go out and hit people all the time
Bottom 6
Leivo Gaudette Roussel
Motte Beagle Zack
It still makes my cringe when I hear Benning say we would have made the playoffs with a healthy Sutter

Whenever I see the lineup broken down like this, I realize just how far away this team is...3 more years. |
