Here is a scouting report on Seider

Huge German defender with a strong two way game and a willingness to take the body whenever the opportunity occurs. Will get stronger and is still growing into his frame. Cemented his status as a possible first rounder after his performance in the B-pool of the World Junior U-20. A defender who can play big minutes shoulder the responsibilities in all phases, due to his maturity. Displays a strong under control game with strong hockey smarts. Not a burner or offenseman type, but makes the transition outlet pass and is comfortable carrying the mail out of his end. Has a strong accurate shot. At this juncture, he might not look like a first pair NHL defender offensively or a first pair PP QB, but there is plenty here to like, and good be a value sleeper taken mid-first round

You want to take him top 10 if Van misses out on Byram?

Goldobin is 5th in team scoring. I get it his game has flaws. Play the young guys now, let them learn, not the bad UFA signing.
- VanHockeyGuy

Ride the pine if you make the big defensive lapses/dont hustle. I like goldy and you’re right he’s productive. Gotta be accountable though

Ok. That's not something I would personally be for . League is about scoring and Van lacks scoring. I wouldn't pass up on a forward that could possibly be a top 6 forward for that type of player in the top 10.

It's a bold move, but I like him too. I take a few forwards over him but I wont be disappointed if hes our pick.

This is something i predicted about three weeks ago. People love thise draft year darlings, esoecially the big body ones. Broberg is a much better player right now, Sieder has some serious upside though.

Underrated skill, he can go end to end but was asked to play defensively since playing pro.

I'd laugh if JB passed on him and he turned out to be another Sergachev.

You'd get a good full year or trolling privileges on this thread

This is actually why I would like to draft out of the top 10 . I don't have much interest in Cozens Dach PodK Broberg Turcotte

I really hope we finish higher than Buf NYR Chi Edm

There’s a fair few scouting reports, including one above, that suggest he’s not a powerplay guy at all. Sounds like he’s got a pretty well rounded game, but that’s not what were looking at here.

I mean he’s not expected to go top 10. Not so sure it’s passing on a player as it was with serg, who was a legit top pick

" Seider played big minutes on Germany’s blue line, including time on the top power play and on the penalty kill. He finished the tournament with seven points in five games."

Still a prospect but...

I sort of laughed yesterday when I said pick two and trade the rest . One response was you would trade Goldobin and he has been playing his best hockey since TDL?

I forget my exact response but what I was really thinking was

We are real pack rats and love to collect junk.

I think Leivo's numbers and game is worth another contract and I think Motte has earned one too but the rest including Pearson and Baertschi I would throw out with the bath water.

Steve Kournianos has been a guy that has liked from what he has seen from him. He has him ranked at 17 in his rankings.

Still I don't think i'd take him before 13th oa. Just my opinion.

Yup it is all about opinion on here. Others want to fix the scoring , I want to fix the back end . They both need fixing. IMO the back end is the hardest to fix and the most costliest in trade and Free Agency and that is why I want to draft the best D available .

Looking at Fabbro who was drafted 17 th, Nashville are asking for a first round pick in a trade.
